Liam Rosenior is under pressure

One win from their last six games, four defeats and no goals scored in their last four games and now seven points outside the Champions League places.

These are not good reading for Chelsea and their manager Liam Rosenior has to be a man under pressure because of this.

His reign got off to an encouraging start as he won his first four league games in charge and began to prove his doubters wrong alongside that.

But he's won just one of his last seven in the league since that encouraging start and the pressure is on him as a result of it alongside the stats I mentioned earlier.

He also hasn't found his best team since taking over as he's changed his team almost every week since he's been in charge and it's definitely had an impact on his team's results.

It's important for any manager to have a settled 11 and Rosenior needs to find his best 11 quickly if he's to ease the pressure on himself.

I do hope he lasts beyond this season because he hasn't been in the job long and has taken over a team that isn't his.

But if their form doesn't improve between now and the end of the season, it could force the owners to pull the plug on yet another manager.

Is Ollie Watkins putting himself in contention for an England recall?

Ollie Watkins hasn't had his best season by his standards as he hasn't been in the form or reached the standards he's reached in recent seasons.

But he has found some form in recent weeks after scoring 5 goals in his last 4 games and this form has come at a very good time. Especially with the World Cup coming up this summer.

Is he putting himself in contention for an England recall?

The question surrounding who will be Harry Kane's back up this summer has been asked a lot this season because there hasn't been a clear favourite to take that spot.

Danny Welbeck and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have both had productive seasons for Brighton and Leeds respectively with Calvert-Lewin earning a recall last month. But he struggled to make an impact in the game he played in against Uruguay.

The other English strikers haven't been in the form those two strikers have been in this season and Calvert-Lewin's performance in the game against Uruguay left the question still unanswered.

Watkins has proven that he can be a reliable back up for Kane in the past with his standout moment coming in the semi finals of the Euros against Holland where he came off the bench to score winner.

His recent form has definitely given him confidence and he'll be determined to keep it up so he can improve his chances of making the final squad.

If he can carry on scoring goals and end the season strongly, he could be in that final squad for the World Cup.

Is Morgan Gibbs-White pushing for an England recall?

Morgan Gibbs-White has been one of the Premier League's in-form players since the turn of the year as he's scored 9 goals including a hat trick in Forest's 4-1 win over Burnley on Sunday.

He's having his best season in terms of goals as he's currently on 12 which is the joint most of any English player in the Premier League this season.

With the form he's in right now, could he be pushing for an England recall?

He's definitely got a chance of earning one with the current form he's in and especially with other players in his position not being in the best of form.

Phil Foden has hardly started a game for Man City since the turn of the year, Eberechi Eze hasn't performed consistently enough for Arsenal and Cole Palmer hasn't had his best season for Chelsea.

Out of all of England's no.10 options, Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers are the two that will definitely be in the squad.

Gibbs-White at the moment has the best chance of making it into that final squad out of all the other no.10 options based on the form he's in right now.

If he keeps up the form he's in, he has a very good chance of being in that final squad and especially with the other options being out of form.

Wolves' relegation was coming

Wolves' relegation was finally confirmed last night following West Ham's goalless draw at Crystal Palace which was the result that sealed their fate.

As I look back on their relegation, all I can say is that it was coming and I say that because they've spent the last few seasons battling relegation and have also lost a number of their best players as their time in the Premier League has progressed.

They've lost the likes of Raul Jimenez, Conor Coady, Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto in recent seasons with the former all being key players during their early seasons in the Premier League.

They also lost Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri to Man United and Man City respectively last summer and the departure of both players set them up for a challenging campaign this season.

Wolves have slowly declined in recent seasons because of them losing their best players season after season which later led onto consecutive relegation battles and eventually relegation.

When a team is involved in relegation battles back-to-back, relegation is bound to happen at some point because the league gets stronger every season and the team is likely to lose its best players to better teams.

This proved to be the case with Wolves who will face a tough ask to bouncing straight back up next season because of the decline they've been on in recent seasons.
