Is Isak finally delivering for Liverpool?

Alexander Isak had as everyone knows a tough first season at Liverpool last season and has already come in for some criticism this season.

But on Friday night against Ipswich, he showed a glimpse of the player Liverpool thought they were getting when they spent all that money on him last summer as he scored two well taken goals to give the reds a 2-0 win.

So is he finally delivering for Liverpool?

His two goals against Ipswich will definitely do his confidence the world of good as goals are what give a striker confidence and belief.

By scoring his two goals on Friday night, he showed what happens when you give him service and if he is to score more goals his teammates need to give him service to do so like they did on Friday.

His first season was badly disrupted by injuries as a result of not having a full pre season under his belt after going on strike at Newcastle.

But if he can stay fit and keep getting himself in the right positions to score goals, we'll finally say that he's delivering in a Liverpool shirt.

Could Fulham be in a relegation battle?

It's been a nightmare start to the season from Fulham under new boss Alvaro Arbeloa following three straight defeats from their opening three games of the season.

They were tipped by a lot of people to struggle this season after losing two of their best players in Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez alongside their manager Marco Silva.

With that alongside their poor start to this season, could they be in a relegation battle this season?

The early signs certainly suggest they could be as they've been poor defensively after conceding seven goals so far this season.

They have shown some encouraging signs in attack and especially in their home games as it's in their home games where they've score goals.

But defensively they've been all over the place and they need to improve in that department quickly if they're to get points.

They haven't in all fairness been given a tough start and it's about to get even tougher with Liverpool and Man United coming up in their next two games.

Their run of games after that is defiitely more favourable as they face the three newly promoted teams in their next three after the Liverpool and United games.

But if they lose to both Liverpool and United and don't win any of the next three games after that, they could be in a relegation battle.

Should Man United have brought in defenders?

Man United's main signings this summer were midfielders in Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba and rightly so because their midfield was arguably the main area they needed to address.

But after conceding two goals in each of their three games so far this season, there is a sense that they should've brought in defenders as well and especially after seeing them concede goals they way they have done.

Should they have brought in defenders during the summer?

I personally felt that United should've brought in two full backs because Diogo Dalot hasn't convinced at right back in recent seasons and Luke Shaw is injury prone. Shaw did play every game last season, but he's in his 30s now and some players do tend to pick up a lot of injuries in their 30s as Shaw has done thorughout his career.

I didn't think they needed a centre back because Maguire and Martinez did form a decent partnership towards the end of last season. Both players are good defenders individually as are the other two in their squad in Matthijs De Ligt and Leny Yoro.

The goals they conceded against Everton were both well struck strikes and especially the equaliser from Ainsley Maitland-Niles, but in their other games the goals they conceded could've been avoided.

They got done at set pieces for the goals they conceded against Hull whilst against Ipswich, Shaw was beaten easily by Abdul Fatawu before the latter crossed the ball into Leif Davis who wasn't marked well by Martinez.

They won't have a lot of time to work on defensive situations in training because they're back in the Champions League and if they continue to concede goals the way they have done, Michael Carrick may be regretting not bringing in a defender during the summer.
