The latest Premier League season has come to an end and it was an interesting season to watch. We saw plenty of drama, lots of goals, many brilliant and controversial moments, and many unexpected results.

Now it's time for me to rate every club's season based on the season's they've had.

ARSENAL - 6

They might've secured another 2nd placed finish, but the season will go down as a disappointment as a lot of people were expecting them to go one better after going so close last season. They did suffer with injuries to key players at various points during the season which didn't at all help, but it will still go down as a disappointing season as they were a long way off challenging for the title.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DECLAN RICE

Rice was the Gunners' most consistent performer this season where he also evolved into an all-round midfield player. He worked his socks off all season in the midfield by making some key interventions defensively, and contributing more at the other end of the pitch. I think he's turning into a no.8.

ASTON VILLA - 6

It was a challenging season for Villa as they had Champions League football to deal with and after struggling with the schedule early on due to a lack of depth, they soon overcame it and put themselves right back in the mix for another top five finish. Not making the Champions League will be seen as a disappointment, but it was overall is decent season for them as they've got another season in Europe to look forward to.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MORGAN ROGERS

Rogers was for me Villa's most consistent player this season as he scored a number of important goals and put in some top displays in midfield. He registered 8 goals and 10 assists and his good form was rewarded with an England call up.

BOURNEMOUTH - 8

They might've been disappointed not to have qualified for Europe, but it was still an outstanding season for the Cherries as they recorded their highest ever points tally. Andoni Iraola deserves a lot of credit for the job he has done and they'll surely be looking to kick on next season. Especially if they can keep him.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DEAN HUIJSEN

Huijsen has had an incredible breakthrough season for the Cherries as he's popped up with some crucial goals and put in some top class performances at the back. He's been so good this season that he's already been snapped up by Real Madrid of all teams.

BRENTFORD - 8

Another outstanding season for the Bees. They were entertaining to watch all season and especially at home, secured their second top 10 finish in four seasons, and they even made a late push for Europe. Another job well done for Thomas Frank and his team and it will be interesting to see what happens to them over the summer.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: BRYAN MBEUMO

Mbeumo stepped up as the Bees' new permanent talisman following the departure of Ivan Toney in the summer. He scored 20 league goals alongside forming a brilliant partnership with Yoane Wissa, and the Bees may have a big ask on their hands this summer if they're to keep him.

BRIGHTON - 7

Their form was patchy at times throughout the season as they went on both good and poor runs of form. But they stayed in the top 10 for most of the season and were very close to qualifying for Europe. This marks a very good debut campaign for Fabian Hurzeler.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: CARLOS BALEBA

Baleba has had to play at both centre back and midfield and wherever he's been asked to play, he's done a first class job. He's made many crucial interventions, covered every blade grass, and even popped up with some crucial goals including one or two belters. It wouldn't surprise me if one of the big teams gained an interest in him this summer.

CHELSEA - 7

It was an up and down season for the blues in terms of their form. But looking back at the season as a whole, it was a good season as they did what they set out to do in qualifying for the Champions League, and they could end the season with a trophy in the Conference League.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MOISES CAICEDO

Caicedo looked more like the player Chelsea spent all that money on two summers ago by making many crucial interventions and covering every blade of grass. He was the blues' most consistent performer this season.

CRYSTAL PALACE - 6

They did get off to a slow start as they didn't win a game till the end of October. But it was another fairly solid season for the Eagles as they gradually pushed themselves up the league from Christmas onwards and secured another mid-table finish. Their solid season was later capped off by winning their first ever major trophy in the FA Cup.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JEAN-PHILIPPE MATETA

Eberechi Eze has had another good season for the Eagles, but Mateta was the more consistent throughout the season. He netted 14 times this season and the majority of them were key in the Eagles rising up the table.

EVERTON - 6

A solid final season at Goodison. The decision to sack Sean Dyche around the turn of the year was questionable as he was probably the best man to lead them out of the situation they were in. But David Moyes returned and immediately dismissed fears of another relegation battle by leading them to a comfortable mid-table finish.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JORDAN PICKFORD

Pickford has once again saved Everton's backsides by keeping them in games time and time again. His crucial saves were again crucial to Everton securing their Premier League status and without him, they would almost certainly be in the Championship.

FULHAM - 7

Another good and solid season from the Cottagers. Not finishing in the top 10 will be seen as a disappointment after spending most of the season in it, but it was still a good season for them as they competed well against the big teams and put themselves in contention for Europe.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ANTONEE ROBINSON

Robinson for me has been the best left back this season by being effective at both ends of the pitch. Defensively he made a lot of crucial interventions and going forward he always offered a threat. He registered 10 assists this season which is more than any other full back and the Cottagers may have a tough job on their hands this summer in trying to keep hold on him.

IPSWICH - 4

They gave it a good go in a lot of their games, but in the end they didn't have the knowhow or quality to stay in the Premier League. They did fare better than the other newly promoted sides by being in a lot of their games, but there were still games where they were naïve in how they played and they went down because of it.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: LIAM DELAP

Delap was the only shining light in Ipswich's season as he scored 12 goals in his debut campaign in the Premier League. The Tractor Boys would've gone down earlier without him and he's surely going to get move to another Premier League club this summer.

LEICESTER - 3

An absolute disaster of a season both on and off pitch. Too many poor performances on it and a lot of poor decisions made off it. The decision to sack Steve Cooper turned out to be the wrong one as they were outside the relegation when they made the decision, and the decision to appoint Ruud Van Nistelrooy turned out the same way as they shipped in too many goals and didn't score many at the other end. They're a club who need a serious reset next season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MADS HERMANSEN

The Foxes may have conceded a lot of goals this season, but they would've conceded more if it wasn't for Hermansen. He kept them in games many times throughout the season by making a number of important saves and without him, they would've gone down earlier.

LIVERPOOL - 9

A truly outstanding season from the reds as they won the title and by some distance. No one had them down to win the title at the start of the season and understandably so after losing a giant of a manager in Jurgen Klopp. But whilst the other big teams dropped off, they just kept on going and were the best team in the league by a country mile.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MOHAMED SALAH

No doubt about it. Salah was on a completely different level this season as he scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists. He carried the reds for much of the season and the fans will be more than happy that he signed that new contract.

MAN CITY - 5

A very disappointing season given the high standards they've set themselves in recent seasons. They did secure Champions League football for another season, but they were miles off challenging for the title and didn't control games they way they used to. A squad refresh is needed over the summer if they're to get back to the levels we're used to seeing them at.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ERLING HAALAND

This may have been a disappointing season for City, but Haaland still delivered the goods as he scored 22 goals. It wasn't his most vintage season, but without his goals City might not have finished where they did.

MAN UNITED - 3

A absolute disaster of a season from start to finish. They struggled badly at both ends of the pitch and put in too many poor performances right throughout the season. It was their worse season in many years and a major squad overhaul is needed over the summer if they're to do better next season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: BRUNO FERNANDES

Fernandes was United's only shining light this season as he provided moments of quality when his team needed them and was the only player to do so. Where would they be without him?

NEWCASTLE - 8

Their best season in a long time as they both secured Champions League football for next season and ended their long wait for a major trophy. They did struggle for consistency early on in the season off the back of very few signings made over the summer, but they found their form after Christmas and ended the season strongly to finish in the top five.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ALEXANDER ISAK

Isak has been on another level this season by scoring 23 league goals all of which were key in the Magpies finishing in the top five. He was a big miss for the Magpies when he was out injured earlier in the season and they'll be desperate to keep him over the summer as there will be suitors for him.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST - 8

An absolutely incredible season as they finished in the European spot. Pretty much everyone had them down to be in a relegation fight at the start of the season, but they defied the odds by putting themselves in contention for Champions League football. They will be disappointed to miss out after spending most of the season in the top five, but it was still an incredible season and hats off to Nuno Espirito Santo for the job he's done.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: NIKOLA MILENKOVIC

Milenkovic was the difference for Forest this season as he made them much stronger defensively. He was rock solid right throughout the season as Forest qualified for Europe and he also popped up with some crucial goals alongside his solid performances at the back.

SOUTHAMPTON - 1

An absolute shocker of a season. They never had enough quality compete at this level and were at times very naïve in the way they played, especially in the first half of the season. They were fortunate not to be the worst team in Premier League history after picking up just 12 points, one more than Derby did in the 2007/08 season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: AARON RAMSDALE

In what was an absolutely terrible season for the Saints, Ramsdale was their only shining light as he made many crucial and important saves to keep his side in games. He's surely going to be on the move again in the summer after yet another relegation.

TOTTENHAM - 3

They might've ended their long wait for a trophy by winning the Europa League, but in the league their season was a disaster. They were very naïve in the way they played all season as they were very open defensively and let in so many goals. They did have a lot of injuries throughout the season which of course didn't help, but it was still a terrible season and their worst in the Premier League.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: BRENNAN JOHNSON

In what was a terrible league season for Spurs, Johnson was the only player who can hold his head high. He stepped up whenever his team needed someone to and he did so by scoring 11 goals. He also put himself into the history books with his winning goal in the Europa League final.

WEST HAM - 5

A disappointing season considering the heights they've hit in recent seasons. There was no clear identity in how they played and especially earlier in the season under Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked for a lack of a clear playing style. A number of their performances were unconvincing and they're no doubt going to be in for a big summer.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JARROD BOWEN

Bowen was arguably the Hammers' only shining light this season as he stepped up whenever his team needed him to. He scored 12 goals in his first season as club captain and will be a major part of Graham Potter's plan moving forward.

WOLVES - 6

It was a season of two halves for Wolves as they were rooted to the bottom in the first half of the season before brilliantly turning things around in the second half. A poor first half of the season saw Gary O'Neil sacked and replaced by Vitor Pereira, who made them tougher to beat and pulled them well clear of danger.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MATHEUS CUNHA

No doubt about it. Cunha was Wolves' main man all season as he scored 15 goals and the majority of them were key in Wolves beating the drop and pulling clear of danger. They might've finished much lower without him and they'll have a big job on their hands this summer in trying to keep hold of him.
