The Premier League fixtures for the 2026/27 season were released earlier today and there are some interesting games to look forward to when the season kicks off.
The game of the weekend has to be Newcastle taking on Liverpool in Andoni Iraola's first game in charge which will see Alexander Isak return to St James' Park for the first time since making that record breaking move to Liverpool last summer. This fixture has produced a number of great games over the years and will be looking to do the same again.
There is also a local derby to look forward to Chelsea kick off life under Xabi Alonso away at Fulham who will also have a new manager in charge following the departure of Marco Silva only a few weeks ago.
Man City meanwhile begin life without Pep Guardiola with a home game against Bournemouth who will also have a new manager in the dugout in Marco Rose after he replaced Andoni Iraola at the end of last season.
The other new boss in Pierre Sage will kick off his time in charge of Crystal Palace with an away fixture against Everton.
Out of the newly promoted sides, Ipswich have the more winnable fixture as they'll be facing Sunderland at home. Coventry and Hull meanwhile both have tough fixtures with Coventry travelling to champions Arsenal and Hull taking on Man United.
Hull have the trickiest start out of all of them as they'll be facing Aston Villa, Chelsea and Newcastle in three of their opening five games as well as Man United.
