GK: ROBERT SANCHEZ (BRIGHTON) - Sanchez kept 3 clean sheets during August as Brighton got off to a very good start to the season. I had my doubts about him when he replaced Matt Ryan as the Seagulls' first choice keeper but since then he's gone on to be an important part of Graham Potter's team.
RB: JOEL VELTMAN (BRIGHTON) - Veltman was solid right throughout August as Brighton kept three clean sheets and got off to a very good start to the season. He barely put a foot wrong wrong and is becoming a more important player for the Seagulls.
CB: WILLIAM SALIBA (ARSENAL) - Saliba has had to wait four seasons to finally make an appearance for Arsenal and in August he showed why they were right to play him now. He was excellent right throughout August as he made many crucial interventions plus he also hit a screamer in their win over Bournemouth.
CB: LEWIS DUNK (BRIGHTON) - Dunk was excellent right throughout August as Brighton kept 3 clean sheets and made a strong start to the season. He put his body on the line when his team needed him to and was a real leader in the Brighton backline like he always is.
LB: JOAO CANCELO (MAN CITY) - Cancelo has started this season in fine form by being effective at both ends of the pitch. Defensively he was sound as he always he whilst going forward he had the energy to push up and help his team out. Including the brilliant goal he scored against Nottingham Forest.
RW: WILFRIED ZAHA (CRYSTAL PALACE) - Zaha has got his season off to a flying start with 4 goals from 5 games in August. He was again linked with a move away from Palace during the summer and Patrick Vieira will be more than delighted that his talisman stayed on after the start he's made.
CM: KEVIN DE BRUYNE (MAN CITY) - De Bruyne has started this season like he ended last season. He registered 3 assists during August as City picked up 13 points and with a striker in Erling Haaland leading the City attack, KDB has a strong chance of breaking his own assists record which he shares with Thierry Henry.
CM: MARTIN ODEGAARD (ARSENAL) - Odegaard was named Arsenal captain at the start of the season and has played like one with the performances he's put in. He scored 3 goals during August as Arsenal won every game and Real Madrid might start regretting letting him go.
LW: GABRIEL MARTINELLI (ARSENAL) - Martinelli netted 3 times during August and they were all crucial in Arsenal's strong start to the season. He's become a key player for the Gunners over the last year or so and is surely now one of the first names on the team sheet.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY) - What a start this man has made to life in the Premier League. Haaland scored 9 goals in five games during August including two hat tricks which is the best start for any player coming into the Premier League. If he keeps this up for the rest of the season, he has a strong chance of breaking Alan Shearer and Andy Cole's goal record for goals in a single season.
ST: ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC (FULHAM) - There were questions about Mitrovic going nito the season on whether he could deliver in the Premier League. He's only gone on and proved them wrong with 5 goals during August which was more than the amount he got a couple of years ago. His goals have been crucial to Fulham's strong start to the season and they'll need him to keep it up if they're to stay in the league.
