August Team of the Month

GK: KONSTANTINOS TZOLAKIS (HULL) - Tzolakis didn't concede a single goal during August as Hull got off to a flying start. His solid performances between the sticks played a key role in Hull starting the season the way they have done.
RB: BEN WHITE (ARSENAL) - White had a strong end to last season and has carried that form into this season. He made crucial interventions at both ends of the pitch during August in making crucial interventions at one and setting up Martin Odegaard's goal against Coventry at the other. He's proving himself to be a reliable deputy for Jurrien Timber whilst the Dutchman recovers from his injury.
CB: JOHN EGAN (HULL) - Hull was solid at the back throughout August as Hull started their season with two wins and two clean sheets. He's made more clearances than any other player so far this season and every one he made in August was key to Hull's strong start to the season.
CB: SEMI AJAYI (HULL) - Ajayi made vital contributions at both ends of the pitch during August including the opening goal in Hull's opening day win over Man United. Throughout the month he made many crucial internvetions when his team needed him to as Hull went the whole of August without conceding a goal.
LB: RICCARDO CALAFIORI (ARSENAL) - Calafiori registered 2 assists during August and made important interventions at the other end as well. His contributions at both ends were key to Arsenal getting their title defence off to a strong start and if he keeps up this kind of form, he could become an important player for the Gunners this season.
CDM: MAMADOU SANGARE (BRENTFORD) - Sangare has been an excellent signing for Brentford so far and it's why he's in this team. He won many duels in the middle of the park and also provided an assists for Keane Lewis Potter's goal against Spurs.
CDM: DECLAN RICE (ARSENAL) - Rice was at his usual best in August by working his socks off in midfield and making important interventions. His performances in the midfield were key to Arsenal starting the season strongly with his defensive work allowing the players ahead of him to do what they do.
RW: BUKAYO SAKA (ARSENAL) - Saka scored in both of Arsenal's games during August as the Gunners got their title defence off to a winning start. He had an injury hit season last season and if he can put that behind him this season, he'll have a far more productive season.
CAM: COLE PALMER (CHELSEA) - Palmer was back to his best during August as he registered 2 goals and assists each to help Chelsea get off to a strong start. Not going to the World Cup has definitely helped him as he's had a full pre season under his belt to get himself fully fit and with the start he's made to the season, he's surely going to be back in that England squad later this month.
LW: RAYAN CHERKI (MAN CITY) - Cherki made the difference for City when he came off the bench in their opening game against Bournemouth where he registered two assists before scoring a brace against Crystal Palace, where he put in an impressive all-round display. He's slowly beginning to become City's talisman and potentially their new Kevin De Bruyne.
ST: JOAO PEDRO (CHELSEA) - Pedro registered 2 goals and assists each during August and they all played a key role in Chelsea's strong start to the season. He was given the no.9 shirt before the season started and if he can keep up the form he's currently in, he'll hopefully lift the curse off that shirt.
