Many players have lit up the Premier League this season with the goals they scored and the performances they've put in over the course of the season.

Now here is the list of my best 50 players from the season.

  1. Michael Kayode - Brentford

Kayode made the right back spot in the Brentford team his own this season by putting in many solid displays defensively throughout the season. He was in the right place at the right time whenever his team needed him to be and his performances this season kept Aaron Hickey out of the team.

  1. Enzo Le Fee - Sunderland

Le Fee was Sunderland's main source of creativity this season as the majority of their attacking play came through him. He registered 5 goals and 7 assists as the Black Cats qualified for Europe and made the step up to the Premier League look very straightforward.

  1. Nordi Mukiele - Sunderland

Mukiele filled in at both full back and centre back for Sunderland this season and excelled whenever he asked to play in either position. He made vital contributions at both ends of the pitch for the Black Cats this season in making vital interventions at one end and popping up with crucial goals at the other.

  1. Omar Alderete - Sunderland

Alderete was a rock at the back all season for Sunderland as he made vital interventions whenever his team needed him to. He also formed a strong partnership with Dan Ballard which played a key role in Sunderland having the season they had alongside his individual performances.

  1. Jarrod Bowen - West Ham

West Ham may have gone down, but Bowen still had another productive season as he scored 9 goals and registered 11 assists which is another decent return. He carried the Hammers for pretty much the entire season and without him they would've gone down earlier.

  1. Moises Caicedo - Chelsea

His form may have dropped off in the second half of the season, but Caicedo still had a decent season as he made more interceptions than any other player. He might've been higher up had he kept up his early season form because when he was on it, he was very much a mixture of former blues players Claude Makelele and N'Golo Kante.

  1. Adam Wharton - Crystal Palace

Wharton was Palace's most consistent player this season as he made key contributions in both areas of the pitch. He made vital interventions defensively when his team needed him to whilst in attack he contributed with a few assists. He was unlucky to have been left out of England's World Cup squad after another solid season at Palace.

  1. Bruno Guimaraes - Newcastle

Guimaraes was the only Newcastle player who really stood out in what was a challenging season for them. He made a big difference to them when he was available because of the quality he brings to the midfield and he also had his best goal scoring season as he scored 9 times. The Magpies face a tough battle to keep hold of him this summer as there are likely to be clubs chasing his signature.

  1. Dan Ballard - Sunderland

Ballard made the step up from Championship to Premier League look fairly straightforward as he put in many solid displays at the back. He was the heartbeat of a strong Sunderland backline this season as they qualified for Europe and kept themselves well clear of the relegation battle.

  1. Boubacar Kamara - Aston Villa

Kamara was a big miss for Villa during the latter months of the season as they fell out of title contention after Christmas. His ability to dictate play and make crucial challenges in midfield were key to Villa's incredible form earlier in the season and he would've been higher up the list had he not picked up that injury.

  1. Jordan Pickford - Everton

Pickford once again kept Everton in games time and time again this season by pulling off a number of crucial saves. The Toffees might not have finished where they did without him and he surely has to be one of the best keepers in the league after another solid season.

  1. Enzo Fernandez - Chelsea

Fernandez began to show why Chelsea spent all that money on him three years ago by putting in a number pf good displays in midfield and scoring some crucial goals. He found the net 10 times this season to mark his best season in terms of goals and the blues might've finished much lower down the table without them.

  1. Adrien Truffert - Bournemouth

Truffert played almost every minute of every game for Bournemouth this season and he ran up and down the left touchline in pretty much every single one. He instantly proved himself as a like for like replacement for Milos Kerkez with his energy to run run and down the left flank and get crosses into the box.

  1. Harry Wilson - Fulham

Wilson finally lived up to the promise many people were hoping him to reach during the early years of his career as he scored 10 goals and became Fulham's main man. His goals were key to Fulham putting themselves in contention for Europe and they'll be desperate to tie him down to a new contract because his current deal is expiring very soon.

  1. Marcos Senesi - Bournemouth

Senesi made important contributions at both ends of the pitch in important defensive interventions at one end end and popping up with a few assists at the other. he was one of Bournemouth's standout performers this season and will be a big miss for them next season after leaving the club as a free agent.

  1. Danny Welbeck - Brighton

Welbeck proved that age is just a number at the age of 35 as he scored 13 goals to help Brighton qualify for Europe. He played almost every game this season as he put past injury troubles behind him and was unlucky not to have been recalled by England because he was arguably the most consistent English striker in the Premier League this season.

  1. Ollie Watkins - Aston Villa

It might not have been his most consistent season, but Watkins did still end the season with 16 goals which marks another good season for him. 7 of those goals came in his final 7 games of the season and they got him back in the England squad for the World Cup and being dropped from the squad before that brilliant run.

  1. Ezri Konsa - Aston Villa

Konsa has been one of the most consistent but underrated centre backs in the league over the last few seasons and it's about time he got the credit he deserved. He's had another solid season at Villa as they sealed a return to the Champions League and could potentially start for England at the World Cup alongside Marc Guehi.

  1. Youri Tielemans - Aston Villa

Tielemans has made a big difference for Villa whenever he's been on the pitch due to his energy and ability to create chances. He was a big miss for Villa when he was out injured during the winter as they missed his creativity which was key to how they played when he's been in the team.

  1. James Garner - Everton

Garner was arguably Everton's best outfield player this season as he won more tackles than any other player and also contributed with 7 assists at the other end. He worked his socks off in the midfield all season with his work rate off the ball and unlucky not to be in England's World Cup squad after impressing on his debut in March.

  1. Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Leeds

Calvert-Lewin put his injury troubles behind him this season by scoring 14 goals to help Leeds comfortably avoid relegation. his move to Leeds was seen as a risk because of his injury record, but he went on and proved that he can still score in the top flight with his goals being key to Leeds's survival.

  1. Robin Roefs - Sunderland

Roefs was a solid presence between the sticks all season for Sunderland by making many crucial saves to keep his team in games. His solid displays were key to Sunderland having the season they had and they made him a safe pair of hands between the sticks.

  1. Bernardo Silva - Man City

Silva once again put in a good shift for his team this season by work hard without the ball and popping up with some crucial goals. His energy and work rate has played a key role in City's success in recent seasons as he's going to be a big loss for them next season.

  1. Harry Maguire - Man United

Maguire has arguably just had his best season in Man United shirt as he put in a number of solid displays right throughout the season. He's been one of United's best players since Michael Carrick has been in charge and was very unlucky to have been left out of England's World Cup squad after winning his place back.

  1. Matheus Cunha - Man United

Cunha has given Man United's attack an extra spark and a spark it lacked last season after their lowest goal scoring campaign. He scored 10 goals to mark a good first season at Old Trafford and they all played a key role in United finishing in the top four.

  1. Alex Scott - Bournemouth

Scott was one of the breakout stars of the season as he did pretty much everything in the Bournemouth midfield in breaking up play, controlling the flow of the game chipping in with the odd important goal. He was arguably Bournemouth's most consistent player this season and his good performances were even rewarded with an England call up earlier in the season.

  1. Morgan Gibbs-White - Nottingham Forest

Gibbs-White has just had his best goal scoring season on record as he scored 15 goals with over half of them coming during the latter months of the season. His goals towards the end of the season played a key role in Forest staying up and he was very unlucky to have been left out of England's World Cup squad because of the brilliant form he was in.

  1. Junior Kroupi - Bournemouth

Kroupi was one of the breakthrough stars of the season as he scored 13 goals at the age of just 19. His goals were key to Bournemouth qualifying for Europe and after seeing a few of their key players leave over the last few seasons, they'll be desperate to keep hold of him.

  1. Elliot Anderson - Nottingham Forest

Anderson covered every blade of grass for Forest this season by protecting the defence and also carrying the ball up the pitch. He was Forest's most consistent player this season and his good form even made him England's first choice no.6 heading into the World Cup.

  1. Senne Lammens - Man United

Lammens was a safe pair of hands for United this season as he gave them what they were lacking in a reliable shot stopper. He made many crucial saves to keep United in games and United were better defensively because of him being a reliable and solid keeper between the sticks.

  1. Granit Xhaka - Sunderland

Xhaka was the difference for Sunderland this season as his experience and leadership played a key role in Sunderland staying out of a relegation battle and qualifying for Europe. He was like a manager on the pitch by being that leader and experienced head to guide the young players in the team.

  1. Dominik Szoboszlai - Liverpool

Szoboszlai was by far Liverpool's best and most consistent player this season as he worked his socks off on the pitch wherever he was asked to play. He also came up with one or two big moments whenever his team needed someone to deliver them including the free kick he scored against Arsenal.

  1. Casemiro - Man United

Casemiro looked good as finished two seasons ago and the way he's come back this season has been incredible. He had the entire midfield covered by controlling the flow of the game there and he also chipped in with some important goals as United finished 3rd. No wonder the fans wanted him stay for another season.

  1. Joao Pedro - Chelsea

Pedro has been one of the very few shining lights for Chelsea this season as he scored 15 goals which is pretty impressive given the dreadful they had. They probably would've finished much lower down the table without his goals and although the blues are likely to be in the market for a striker this summer, his numbers this season prove that he's up for the challenge.

  1. Bryan Mbeumo - Man United

United went into this season off the back of their worst season in front of goal. Mbeumo came in and fixed that problem straight away as he went on to score 11 goals in his debut season. His goals were crucial to United finishing 3rd alongside his versatility as he also filled in as a no.9 as well as out wide.

  1. Martin Zubimendi - Arsenal

Zubimendi has given Arsenal what they've lacked in recent seasons in a midfield who can sit deep and control the game as well break up play. His presence in the no.6 role has given Declan Rice the freedom to express himself higher up the pitch knowing that there is someone who can sit in and protect the back four.

  1. Gianluigi Donnarumma - Man City

Donnarumma was a solid presence between the sticks throughout the season as he kept 14 clean sheets and made a number of crucial saves to keep his team in games. He did have his doubters when he arrived due to his lack of distribution, but he silenced those doubters by putting in some solid performances between the sticks.

  1. Jurrien Timber - Arsenal

Timber made the right back spot in the Arsenal team his own his season as he made vital contributions at both ends of the pitch. Defensively he made important interventions when his team needed him to whilst going forward he was always a threat and bagged some crucial assists. his performances and contributions at both ends made him one of Arsenal's most important players this season.

  1. Nico O'Reilly - Man City

O'Reilly made the left back spot in the City team his own despite him being a midfield player. He was effective at both ends of the pitch by making key interventions at one and popping up with crucial goals at the other. His good form this season earned him an England call and he's likely to be their starting left back at the World Cup this summer.

  1. Morgan Rogers - Aston Villa

Rogers became Villa's talisman this season as he scored 10 goals to help Villa return to the Champions League. His good form made him one of the first names on the England team sheet and he could well be their starting no.10 at the World Cup this summer.

  1. Rayan Cherki - Man City

Cherki was a joy to watch whenever he was on the pitch because he was always willing to make something happen when he had the ball. He registered 12 assists this season with only Bruno Fernandes registering more as he stepped up as City's chief creator after the departure of Kevin De Bruyne.

  1. Marc Guehi - Man City

Guehi had a solid first half of the season with Palace and he carried that form with him to City after making the move there in January. City became a better team defensively when he arrived as he made them tighter at the back and brought stability to the entire defence.

  1. Antoine Semenyo - Man City

Semenyo had a fine first half of the season with Bournemouth during which he scored 10 goals and he carried that form with him to City in January. He netted 7 times after joining City to take his tally of goals up to 17 for the season and the impact he made kept City in the title race and eased the burden off Erling Haaland.

  1. Igor Thiago - Brentford

Thiago felt like a new signing for Brentford after missing the entirety of last season out injured with an ACL injury. He immediately became their new talisman as he scored 22 goals to help Brentford finish 9th and his brilliant form earned him a Brazil call up.

  1. David Raya - Arsenal

Raya kept 19 clean sheets to win his third consecutive golden glove and pulled off many crucial saves along the way as Arsenal won the title. The saves he made played a key role in Arsenal ending their long wait for a Premier League title and he surely now has to be considered as one of the best keepers in Europe.

  1. Erling Haaland - Man City

Haaland scored 27 goals as he won his third golden boot in four seasons and he also began to adapt his game by adding assists to it. He carried City for most of the season with the goals he scored and without him, they might've finished further behind Arsenal.

  1. William Saliba - Arsenal

Arsenal again had the best defence in the league this season and Saliba was a huge reason why. His solid performances at the back alongside his partnership with Gabriel were both key to the Gunners winning the title and why they're such a well drilled team defensively.

  1. Gabriel - Arsenal

Gabriel for me was Arsenal's best defender this season as he made key contributions at both ends of the pitch. He made vital interventions at one end and scored important goals at the other with both playing a key role in Arsenal winning the title alongside his partnership with Saliba.

  1. Declan Rice - Arsenal

Rice was the driving force behind Arsenal's title win due to his leadership, energy and tenacity on the pitch. He's taken Arsenal onto another level since he's been at the club whilst his own game grow and if he can add more goals to his game next season, he could become a more complete midfielder.

  1. Bruno Fernandes - Man United

Fernandes broke the record for most assists in a single season with 21 and also scored 9 goals as Man United finished 3rd. He's carried United for pretty much the entire season like he has done ever since he joined the club and after arguably his best season in a United shirt, should he be considered as one of the greatest midfielders to play in the Premier League?
