Is Victor Gyokeres finally delivering for Arsenal?

Viktor Gyokeres has had a tough debut season at Arsenal as he hasn't quite delivered the goals that many people thought he would given that he was brought in to be that 20+ goals a season striker Arsenal were crying out for.

He's barely been in games due to a lack of service and him maybe still adjusting to the pace and physicality of the Premier League alongside the way Arsenal want to play.

But after scoring 7 goals in his last 8 games in all competitions, he might be beginning to turn a corner and it has led to me ask this one question:

Is Gyokeres finally delivering for Arsenal?

His two goals against Sunderland on Saturday both came from the bench and some are saying that a starting role from the bench might be the best place for him.

He of course wants to start games as any striker would, but by starting on the bench he's more likely to make an impact depending on who the opposition is.

His recent form will definitely give him confidence because scoring goals are what give a striker confidence.

He's scored more goals than any other Premier League player since the turn of the year and if he keep up the current form he's in, we'll say that he's finally delivering.

Are West Ham now less reliant on Bowen following Summerville's recent form?

West Ham have been heavily reliant on Jarrod Bowen all season as both the stats and his performances can back up as he's their top goal scorer and the only player who has consistently performed for them this season.

But they might be starting to rely on him less with Crysencio Summerville in good form after scoring in each of the Hammers' last four games.

Are they now less reliant on Bowen following Summerville's recent form?

There have been a number of teams over the years who have gone down because they've been heavily reliant on player just like West Ham have been heavily reliant on Bowen this season.

With Summerville now in good form, they have someone who Bowen can share the load with and having more than one player providing the goals gives any team a better chance of staying up.

West Ham still need more players to step up to give themselves the best possible chance of staying up but if Summerville can keep up the current form he's in, they might be less reliant on Bowen.

Burnley are gone

I think we all relegated Wolves before Christmas and now Burnley appear to be heading towards the same fate as they're without a win since October and are now 11 points from safety.

I thought they would beat West Ham on Saturday because of them being at home and it's at home where they've been the most competitive and have picked up most of their points.

That game was their best chance to get their survival hopes back on track and especially as it was against a relegation rival.

But after losing that game, I have to say that they're good as gone because they're low on confidence and a long way off safety.

The Clarets have picked up just 15 points this season and I don't see them picked up many more between now and the end of the season because they just don't look like winning games of football.

They have shown fight throughout the season and there may be the odd game where they do pick up the odd point.

But I just don't see where they're going to get their next win from as they've struggled to score goals all season and are also struggling to keep them out as they now have the worst defence in the Premier League, conceding 49 goals.

They've lacked quality all season and their lack of quality is what is going to send them back to the Championship.
