Chelsea lack leaders
I've been saying this about Chelsea for a while now and it was certainly evident in their draw with Burnley on Saturday.
The goal they conceded was poorly defended as Zian Fleming was not marked or picked up by any Chelsea defender before he headed home the equaliser from the corner.
The blues could've easily conceded two more goals from corners as their defending from both was poor because no one was marking or picking up the Burnley player who made the attempt on goal.
This is definitely a sign of Chelsea lacking leaders in the team and especially in their defence because there was no one organising the defence or telling players where to be when they were defending the corners.
They've lacked leaders in their team since the days of John Terry and Frank Lampard and Terry in particular was someone who would organise a defence and tell players where to be.
Is Erling Haaland evolving as a player
We all know that Erling Haaland is and has been a terrific goal scorer right throughout his career as his numbers of can show.
He showed a different side to his game in Man City's win over Newcastle on Saturday by creating chances for his teammates with one of them being the assist for Nico O'Reilly's second goal.
Is this a sign that he's evolving as a player?
Ever since Haaland has been at Man City, he's just been a goal scorer and has barely been involved in City's build up play because he is main focus has been on scoring goals.
But we might be starting to see him more involved in the build up play like he was against Newcastle against who he showed that there is more to his game than just scoring goals.
He might not have scored against Newcastle, but he still put in a very good performance by popping up in a number of positions as well as creating chances for his teammates.
If he continues to be involved in City's build up play and create chances for his teammates, we could see him turn into a more all-round centre forward.
Are Spurs no longer a big six club?
I mentioned a few months back that Spurs lack top quality players and I stick by that because their team literally has no top quality players in it.
Wayne Roney said on his podcast that Spurs are no longer a big six club which has lead me to ask this very question:
Are Spurs no longer a big six club?
They certainly don't look like one because their team has literally no quality in it as I mentioned earlier and have said all season.
Their team this season is the worst Spurs team I have ever seen because of their lack of quality and I'd go as far to say that it's even worse than their teams before they became one of the big six.
They might've been a mid table team at best back in those days, but they still had quality players in their teams like Teddy Sheringham, Darren Anderton, Jurgen Klinsmann, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe.
I don't see players of that calibre in their team at the moment and it's why they are where they are in the table.
They might have a fancy stadium which is magnificent to look at and a quality training ground, but they don't have the players to call themselves a big six club.
They're in a relegation battle this season as the table suggests and if they do go down, then they'll no longer be recognised as one of the big six.
But if they stay up, this question is likely to be answered next season depending on what kind of players they bring in during the summer and where they'll spend most of the season.
Is Benjamin Sesko beginning to prove himself at Man United?
Benjamin Sesko has had a difficult start to life at Man United since joining for a lot of money in the summer due to a number of factors including the pace of the Premier League and not getting enough service.
But now he appears to be turning a corner after scoring 3 goals in his last 4 games including Man United's win at Everton on Monday.
Is he beginning to prove himself at Man United?
All his goals recently have come from the bench and he'll no doubt be looking to start more games because of the impact he's made from the bench.
Starting from the bench has probably been the best role for him in that he's arguably a more effective player from bench as he can come on and cause problems with his height and aerial presence.
Whenever United have struggled to break down a stubborn defence, Sesko has been the player they've brought on to cause the opposition defence problems because of his height and aerial abilities.
He gives them a focal point up top because of his height and is also someone who they can get crosses into the box to because of his aerial abilities.
His recent form has definitely given him confidence as scoring goals is what gives a striker confidence and one thing that has helped him massively is the fact that players are playing closer to him, something that didn't happen enough earlier in the season.
If he keep on scoring goals for the next few weeks, we could be saying that he's proving himself at Man United.
