Is the great escape on for Spurs?
Spurs finally got their first win of 2026 over the weekend against Wolves which ended a run of 15 games without a win.
With that first win of the calendar year out of the way, is the great escape on?
Their win over Wolves will definitely give their chances of survival a massive boost and also give them a lot of confidence moving forward because winning games gives a team confidence.
But they do have some difficult games to end the season with including a possible relegation six-pointer against Leeds at home as well as tricky away games against Aston Villa and Chelsea.
They have the tougher run-in between them and West Ham which makes West Ham the favourites to stay up and especially as they're two points clear of Spurs.
A lot will depend on West Ham's results, but if Spurs can carry the confidence gained from their win over Wolves into their remaining games, the great escape could well be on for them.
Saka return a major boost to Arsenal's title hopes
Arsenal have lost key players to injury over the last few weeks and lost two more to injury in their win over Newcastle in Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze.
But they did welcome back one of their big name stars in Bukayo Saka against Newcastle when he came off the bench for Noni Madueke in the second half.
Saka has been a big miss for Arsenal over the last couples of weeks as they've missed the quality he brings in the final third and it's in the final third where Arsenal have struggled recently.
His return is definitely a major boost for Arsenal and to their title hopes because of the quality he brings to the team and how important a player he is for them.
He might not have scored or assisted when he came off the bench against Newcastle, but he did play well when he came on and show Arsenal what they've missed during his absence.
If Arsenal can keep him fit for the remainder of the season and get him back to the form we've been used to seeing him in over the years, the Gunners have a good chance of winning the title.
Is Bruno Fernandes the favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award?
Bruno Fernandes picked up his 19th assist of the season in Man United's 2-1 win over Brentford last night and he now needs just one more to equal the all-time record for most assists in a season, which is currently held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
A lot of people think he should win the PFA Player of the Year award because of his numbers and the performances he's produced throughout the season which have led me to ask this very question.
Is he the favourite to win the award?
He's definitely a contender because of the numbers he's produced and the fact that he's carried Man United for pretty much the entire season.
His best performances this season have come under Michael Carrick because he's been used in his favoured no.10 role and being back in that position has got the best out of him.
But he was still producing under Ruben Amorim by chipping in with crucial goals and assists despite being played out of position.
There will be other players up for the award including Declan Rice, Gabriel and Erling Haaland with Rice arguably being the favourite and especially if Arsenal go on to win the title.
But if Fernandes does break the all-time record for most assists in a season, he could well be the favourite to win the award.
