WEDNESDAY:

BRIGHTON V MAN CITY

Brighton have their place in Europe next season secured following their win over Southampton and they'll want to end the season with a Europa League spot. Getting into Europe is of course a fantastic achievement for a club of their size but the manager wants a Europa League finish which is achievable.

They'll want to end their home campaign with a win which on paper looks unrealistic because of the form City are in. It could also be the last time some of their players play at the AMEX with those said players being strongly linked with a move away.

Man City have the title wrapped up and could rest some of their key players here so they can keep them fresh ahead of their two cup finals. They'll still field a strong enough team because of how strong their squad is but some of their big hitters could still be rested here.

They still have those financial charges hanging over them and all they can do is their job on the pitch. Their attitude since that news has been exceptional and it always will be whenever they step out onto the pitch.

PREDICTION: 1-3

It's been a long time since I last predicted a Brighton defeat and I'm finally going to bring an end to that run here. City might make a few changes for this game but they'll still have more than enough quality to win the game. Especially with the form they've been in.

THURSDAY:

MAN UNITED V CHELSEA

The last five meetings between these two sides have all ended in draws all of which weren't spectacular. This used to be a game that would decide the Premier League title many years ago and it's going to be a long time till we see that again. Unless both sides suddenly find themselves in contention next season.

The job is simple for Man United here. Win and they're guaranteed a top finish and a place in next seasons Champions League. They'd rather get the job done here rather than the last day against Fulham as there will be more pressure on them to get it done if they did leave it that late.

Chelsea are set to end the season with their lowest points total in Premier League history and quite possibly one of their lowest finishes. Their lowest points total currently stands at 51 back in the 1993/94 season where they finished 14th and this season they currently have 43 and could still finish as low as they did back then.

The mess Chelsea have been in this season has been far greater than the mess United were in this time last season. United's mess had been longer but the blues' mess is still much bigger in their team has been disjointed for most of the season and have got worse as the season has progressed. They're in a worse position than United were this time last season.

PREDICTION: 2-0

I'm backing Man United to win here because they're strong at home and are having a much better season. Both don't have a lot of goals in them but I trust United to be more clinical in front of goal and to put in the more convincing performance on the day.
