SATURDAY:

BRIGHTON V LEEDS

Brighton for a while have been one of those teams who play good football but aren't always clinical in front of goal.

That was certainly the case against Arsenal in midweek as they had a number of good chances but didn't take them.

They've had a stuttering season so far as they've not been able to find any consistency and their result can back that up.

Leeds have started better than I in particular thought they would as they've been competitive in most of their games so far.

Daniel Farke got a lot of stick during his last two spells in the top flight with Norwich for setting his team up to be too open at the back and I feel that he's learnt his lessons from his previous spell in the top flight.

His side will again be competitive in this one and look to give Brighton a good game.

But I think the Seagulls will just edge it as they're at home where their record is reasonably good.

PREDICTION: 1-0

BURNLEY V ARSENAL

Burnley have lost just once at home this season with that defeat coming against Liverpool at the beginning of September.

They'll come into this game with some confidence on board following back-to-back wins against Leeds and Wolves which lifted out of the bottom three.

The Clarets have been competitive in most of their games so far this season just like I thought they would because of the impressive defensive record they had last season in the Championship.

Arsenal have evolved as a team this season by winning games in different ways and when you win games in more than one way, it's a sign of them being potential champions.

A lot has been said about their squad depth this season and rightly so because it's been one of the factors behind their impressive season so far.

But they're also winning games without playing brilliant football which is another sign of them being title favourites.

Burnley will make it difficult for them and especially as they're at home where their record this season has been decent.

But Arsenal will do what they have done a few times this season in finding a way to win and I'm backing their goal scorer to be someone from their bench.

PREDICTION: 0-1

CRYSTAL PALACE V BRENTFORD

Palace blew Liverpool away in the Carabao Cup in midweek and they'll now be looking to return to winning ways in the league following a three game winless run.

Brentford also progressed in the cup after comfortably winning at Grimsby where they made wholesale changes.

The Bees did the double over Palace last season and they come into this game off the back two straight wins against West Ham and Liverpool with the former being their first win on the road this season.

This game should be a close watch as I can see both teams go for it as they're both attack minded teams.

But I think Palace will just come out on top as they'll come into this game with a lot of momentum after beating Liverpool in midweek.

PREDICTION: 2-1

FULHAM V WOLVES

This is a must win game for both clubs.

Fulham have lost four games in a row coming into this game and are just a place and three points above the relegation zone.

Wolves meanwhile are rock bottom and still without a win to their name and the pressure is firmly on manager Vitor Pereira to get results.

His side did show resilience to get back into the game against Burnley after going 2-0 and they even had chances to go ahead which they didn't take and came back to bite them in the end.

Losing that game will have dented their confidence even further as it was a game that seemed their most realistic chance of getting their first points of the season.

This game now has to represent their best chance of getting their first points on board not just because of Fulham being near them in the table, but because of the tough run of fixtures they have coming up.

Chelsea, Palace, Villa, Forest, Man United and Arsenal are their next six after this one.

Fulham have had a decent record at home in recent seasons and despite losing their last four games, their performances weren't that bad in any of them.

Because they're at home and better in all areas than Wolves are at the moment, I have to back Fulham to take the points here.

PREDICTION: 2-0

NOTTINGHAM FOREST V MAN UNITED

Forest barely lay a glove on Bournemouth in Sean Dyche's first game in charge and Dyche will want his side to give it more of a go in this one and especially as they're at home.

Most teams up their game more when they play at home because they have the crowd on their side and whenever Forest play at home, their fans are behind them from the first whistle.

Man United are beginning to find some form following three straight wins and we have to give Amorim some credit for this as a lot of people were calling for his head around this time last month.

But despite their recent upturn in form, the fans shouldn't get too excited as they've had spells like this in the past only to go on another barren run shortly afterwards.

Forest will make it difficult for them here as they'll be tough to beat and get men behind the ball like most Sean Dyche teams do.

United do come into this game in the better form, but I think Forest will make it uncomfortable for them and nick a point.

PREDICTION: 1-1

TOTTENHAM V CHELSEA

Spurs' home form this season and throughout the calendar year as a whole has been poor just like their record in this fixture since moving to their new stadium.

Chelsea have won all but one of their meetings with Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and they might be the favourites to win this game because of this and Spurs' poor home form.

The blues are still missing players through injury including Cole Palmer who is out for at least another month, but I still fancy them to come out on top because of their record in this fixture.

PREDICTION: 1-3

LIVERPOOL V ASTON VILLA

Liverpool made wholesale changes against Palace in the Carabao Cup in midweek and it was a plan that backfired as they were well beaten on the night.

Arne Slot will bring back his big guns for this one after resting them in the week and there might be a reaction as a result of their return to the side as they'll be full of energy and wanting to prove a point after not playing in a game where they could've made a difference in midweek.

Slot has to get something from this game because of the form his side are in and the fact that the reds' next two games after this one are against Real Madrid and Man City.

Aston Villa come into this game as one of the for teams in team league following four straight wins and I have no doubt that they'll cause Liverpool all kinds of problems in this one.

Ollie Watkins will be the main danger because of his pace and ability to run in behind and he's got players behind him like Morgan Rogers and John McGinn who can provide him service.

I think he'll score in this one but I don't see Villa winning as Anfield is a tough place to go to and it's where Liverpool have a very good record.

Villa may see themselves as the favourites because of the form they're in but with Liverpool having a decent record at home, I'm going to sit on the fence and go for a draw.

PREDICTION: 1-1

SUNDAY:

WEST HAM V NEWCASTLE

West Ham have lost every home game so far this season and are a side who literally have no confidence on board.

Nuno must surely know by now that he has a big job on his hands in keeping the Hammers in the Premier League and their recent results prove it.

Newcastle looked very good against Spurs in the Carabao Cup in midweek and probably should've won by a lot more because of how dominant they were.

Eddie Howe's side are yet to win on the road this season but they should definitely get themselves off the mark in this one because of West Ham's poor home form.

I can see them win this one and fairly comfortably because of the state West Ham are in alongside their poor home form.

PREDICTION: 0-3

MAN CITY V BOURNEMOUTH

Man City were given an early scare by Swansea in midweek and could've been behind further as they looked shaky during the early stages of the game.

But they did what they have done so many times over the years in coming from behind and finding a way to win.

A lot of people have been saying that they're very too reliant on Erling Haaland and those people do in all fairness have a point as he's got a massive chunk of their goals this season.

Other players need to start chipping in so they can become less reliant on him.

Bournemouth come into this game above City in the table with the Cherries in second and City three places behind in 5th.

The Cherries have lost every game away at City from both of their spells in the Premier League but they'll fancy their chances of ending that ruin in this one as they have players who can hurt City who can be got at defensively.

But I think City will come out on top here and end Bournemouth's brilliant run of form because of them being at home where they have a decent record.

Bournemouth will score, but I have to back City and especially with someone like Erling Haaland up top with the form he's in.

PREDICTION: 3-1

MONDAY:

SUNDERLAND V EVERTON

Sunderland are flying at the moment and they come into this game off the back off an impressive win at Chelsea which moved them into the top four.

Regis Le Bris' side are still unbeaten at home this season and are the only newly promoted side who are yet to lose on home soil with both Leeds and Burnley both having lost once at home.

Everton boss David Moyes returns to Sunderland for the first time since he left them nearly nine years ago and whilst many manager who return to their former clubs look to prove a point, I don't think Moyes has anything to prove because he was set up to the fail the moment he arrived there and has proven himself to be a top manager ever since he left.

HIs Everton team won't have an easy game on his return to the Stadium of Light as Sunderland are a side who are tough to beat and are capable of giving any team a game as they have shown on a number of occasions this season.

I can see this game being very close as I think both teams will set themselves up to play on the counter attack and be closely matched.

Because of this I think the points will be shared because I can't see a winner between either team.

PREDICTION: 1-1
