GK: ROBIN ROEFS (SUNDERLAND) - Roefs kept 2 clean sheets and made lots of crucial saves right throughout September as Sunderland kept up their strong start to the season. His saves kept the Black Cats in games and with a reliable stopper like him between their sticks, Sunderland stand a very good chance of staying up.
RB: TRAI HUME (SUNDERLAND) - Hume put in solid performances at the back right throughout September as Sunderland kept 2 clean sheets across the entire month. He made key interventions at the right time and every one he made to Sunderland keeping those clean sheets and staying defensively solid.
CB: MARC GUEHI (CRYSTAL PALACE) - Guehi was arguably been the best defender in the league so far this season and he easily could've down tooled after not getting his dream move to Liverpool in the summer. But he didn't let that affect him as he put in more solid performances right throughout September as Palace kept up their strong start to the season. How long will Palace be able to keep him for?
CB: OMAR ALDERETE (SUNDERLAND) - Alderete is beginning to turn into a decent signing for Sunderland after three solid defensive displays during September. He made key interventions when his team needed him to and every one he made was key to Sunderland keeping their 2 clean sheets during September.
LB: TYRICK MITCHELL (CRYSTAL PALACE) - Mitchell was excellent in both departments throughout September by being solid defensively and offering an attacking threat when he went forward. He scored the winning goal in Palace's win at West Ham and if he can keep up the form he's been in, he might have a chance of earning a recall into the England squad and especially as they're short in left backs.
CDM: MARTIN ZUBIMENDI (ARSENAL) - Zubimendi put in classy performances in the midfield right throughout September by doing his defensive work, dictating play in midfield and even scoring two well-taken goals in the Gunners' 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. He's beginning to turn into a very good signing for the Gunners.
CM: GRANIT XHAKA (SUNDERLAND) - Xhaka joining Sunderland will have raised many eyebrows for a number of reasons and the impact he's had on the team has been instrumental. In September he won many duels and kept things ticking in midfield alongside showing his leadership qualities on the pitch, all of which have been key to Sunderland's strong start to the season.
CM: JORDAN HENDERSON (BRENTFORD) - Henderson registered 2 assists during September and het got them by playing two incredible passes for Kevin Shades' goal against Chelsea, and Igor Thiago's first goal against Man United. He showed in both games that he still has something to offer in the Premier League at the age of 35.
RW: YANKUBA MINTEH (BRIGHTON) - Brighton had a mixed September in terms of results, but Minteh still delivered as he registered a goal and 2 assists. He stepped up when Brighton needed someone to and his performances throughout the month as well as his contributions were enough for him to earn a place in this team.
LW: JEREMY DOKU (MAN CITY) - Doku registered more assists than any other player in September with 3 and two of them came in City's derby win over United. His decision making in the final third has improved this season and if he keeps up the current form he's been in, he could be an important player for City this season.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY) - Haaland kept up his fine goal scoring form in September by scoring 5 times to increase his Premier League goal tally for the season to 8. If he can keep up the current goal scoring form he's been in, City could have a say in the title race.
