Ballers are players who are incredibly skilful, have many flicks and tricks up their sleeve and aren't afraid to take risks.

They're the players who love taking on opponents and will back themselves to beat them in one on one duels because of how gifted they are.

The game of football has seen many ballers light up the game over the years and especially during the modern era as the majority of ballers were around during the modern era , which was arguably when the term was created.

If this was the top 10 ballers of all-time, I would've definitely had both Pele and Diego Maradona on the list as they were both true ballers on their day because of how gifted they were.

Any player could've made the list including Ronaldinho who I somehow did not include on the list. I probably should've done because of how good a player he was on his day.

Now without further ordo, here is the list:

Cristiano Ronaldo

Lionel Messi

Eden Hazard

Vinicius Junior

Neymar

Kylian Mbappe

Dennis Bergkamp

Arjen Robben

Zinedine Zidane

Luis Figo

  1. Luis Figo

Figo should probably be higher because he was one of the most gifted players of his generation and arguably the best player in the world on his day.

He was a player who was full of tricks, incredibly skilful and loved to take on players because of how skilful and technically gifted he was.

He was also quick, agile and could both create and score goals due to his crossing abilities and ability to cut in inside and take shots at goal.

He was one of the very few players to have played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid and it was in 2000 where he made the controversial move.

His best days for me came when he was at Real Madrid as he was recognised as one of the best players in the world at time and especially after winning the Ballon D'or in 2000.

  1. Arjen Robben

Robben had everything you wanted from a wide players in pace, the ability to get crosses into the box and also the ability to cut inside and take shots at goal.

He was a player who was an absolute nightmare for defenders to play against on his day because he was incredibly skilful and loved taking on players and beating them in one v ones.

He was a player with potential at Chelsea which was where he first made himself known to the footballing world by playing a key role in them winning those back-to-back Premier League titles under Jose Mourinho.

But it was at Bayern Munich where he became one of the best wingers in Europe as he added end product to his game in goals and assists, all of which played a key role in every success he achieved there.

He won everything on offer at Bayern including the treble in 2013 where he scored the winning goal in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund to secure the treble.

  1. Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe will probably be higher up this list in a few years time and he arguably should be higher as he's been one of the best players in the world for some time now.

He's been a defenders nightmare ever since he burst onto the scene because of his blistering pace and ability to beat players in one v ones because of how skilful a player he is and has been.

He can play anywhere across the frontline with the left hand side being his preferred position as it allows him to cut inside onto his right foot before taking a shot at goal.

He's already achieved a lot in the game including winning the 2018 World Cup with France at the age of just 19 and next he'll surely be targeting the Champions League and the Ballon D'or as well as another World Cup next summer.

  1. Vinicius Junior

Vinicius has always been a player full of tricks and with bags of skills ever since he arrived at Real Madrid and he was all about the flicks and tricks during his first few seasons at the club.

It wasn't until Carlo Ancelotti arrived when he started to add end product to his game in terms of goals and the numbers he hit ever since have put him among the best finishers in Europe.

Very few players have been able to stop him when he's been at his best because of how skilful a player he is due to his incredible dribbling ability and trickery with the ball.

He's developed into one of the best attacking players in Europe over the last few years because of how much his all-round game has improved during that time.

  1. Dennis Bergkamp

Bergkamp could do pretty much anything with the ball at his feet because he was a player who was incredibly skilful and had many flicks and tricks up his sleeve.

He also had an incredible first touch and could use both the inside and outside of his foot to score goals and create chances for his teammates.

He could score some incredible goals as well and some of the goals he scored were of the highest quality including that pirouette goal he scored for Arsenal against Newcastle in 2002 and the volley he scored for Holland against Argentina at the 1998 World Cup.

  1. Eden Hazard

Hazard was a true baller on his day as he was incredibly skilful, full tricks and loved taking on players and beating them with his pace and as well as his trickery.

Very few players could get the ball off him when he was at his best because he had a low centre of gravity which enabled him to stay on his feet and beat players in one v one duels.

He scored some incredible goals when he was at Chelsea with his best ones being solo efforts with his one against West Ham being his standout as he slalomed his way through the West Ham defence before putting the ball in the net.

It was disappointing to see things not work out for him at Real Madrid as a lot of people thought he was going to be brilliant there because of how good he was for so many years at Chelsea.

Injuries and lack of form let him down a lot during his time at Real and he maybe should've joined a year or two earlier as he arrived just as he was leaving his prime years.

  1. Zinedine Zidane

Zidane was one of the finest players of his generation and a truly delightful player to watch on his day because of all the wonderful attributes he had.

He could do pretty much anything with the ball at his feet because he was incredibly skilful, had loads of tricks up his sleeve, had a brilliant first touch and could glide past effortlessly.

For me he's the greatest midfielder the play the game because there are and have been very few players like him in his position.

He came up with many moments of magic for both Real Madrid and France and his moments of brilliance as well as his top performances played a key role in the success he achieved with both.

  1. Neymar

Neymar has always been a player with a lot of ability ever since he first announced himself over in Brazil as he can do almost anything with the ball at his feet because of how skilful a player he's been.

He's been a showboat for pretty much his whole career as he's had many tricks up his sleeve and wants to entertain the crowd by showing off a trick or piece of skill.

In his prime he was as good as anyone on his day because of the attributes he had in pace, agility and the ability to beat players with a bit of skill as well as score goals.

I think he could've gone to the very top had he stayed at Barcelona because it was at Barca where he had the best years of his career playing alongside Messi and Suarez.

  1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo was all about the flicks and tricks during the early years of his career and especially during his first few seasons at Man United.

He joined United after impressing in a game against them whilst playing for Sporting Lisbon and his performance in that game encouraged Alex Ferguson to sign him up.

After being mainly a showboater during the first few years of his time at United, he would later add end product to his game in terms of goals and develop into one of the best players in the world.

United was the club where he developed into that world class player we know him as today, but Real Madrid was the club where he took his game onto another level by scoring an insane amount of goals season after season.

The stepover was of course his signature move as it was the move he performed the most often and he had opposing defenders in his wake every time he performed it.

  1. Lionel Messi

It was always going to be Messi and Ronaldo in my top two and Messi is the one that wins it because for me he's the greatest player to play the game.

As I've mentioned in previous top 10's, he's done things on the pitch that very few players have been able to do and that in my opinion is what separates him from Cristiano Ronaldo.

They've both been brilliant players in their own right and the rivalry they had for so many years will never be forgotten because they both pushed each other to be better players.

But Messi just edges it as he's a more influential player and I don't think we're ever going to see another player like him.

MY TOP 10:

  1. Lionel Messi

  2. Cristiano Ronaldo

  3. Neymar

  4. Zinedine Zidane

  5. Eden Hazard

  6. Dennis Bergkamp

  7. Vinicius Junior

  8. Kylian Mbappe

  9. Arjen Robben

  10. Luis Figo
