There aren't that many players who stay at one club their entire career and especially more recently because players want to seek new adventures elsewhere due to the ambitions they might have.
But throughout the modern era as a whole, we've seen many players who who remain loyal to one club and stay there their entire career .
They stay at that one club because they either feel comfortable with their surroundings or they have a love for the club they're at and feel there is no reason for them to leave it.
Even when they're not winning anything with their respective sides or their team are not doing as well as they should be.
I originally had Thomas Muller on this list when I first wrote it as he had spent his entire career at Bayern Munich at the time I wrote it. But I had to remove him in the summer following his move to Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS.
And speaking of the list, here it is:
Francesco Totti
Paolo Maldini
Ryan Giggs
Paul Scholes
Carles Puyol
Tony Adams
Mark Noble
Gary Neville
Jamie Carragher
Matt Le Tissier
Mark Noble
Noble spent his entire career at West Ham sticking with them even in the seasons when they dropped down to the Championship.
Throughout his time at the club, he was one of the few players who knew what it meant to play for West Ham because of his love for the club and the passion he had for the club as well.
He worked his socks off in almost every game he played for the Hammers because of the energy he had and his determination for his team to do well.
He went on to captain the Hammers towards the end of his time there and his leadership both on the pitch and in the dressing room was key to them solidifying their place as a Premier League club.
I had to have him at no.10 because he didn't quite have the career that the other players on the list had.
Matt Le Tissier
Le Tissier spent his entire career at Southampton going back to before the Premier League even existed as he made his debut in 1986.
He was one of the most gifted players of his generation as he could do almost anything with the ball at his feet, was incredibly skilful and could score any kind of goal.
He some truly insane goals during his time at Southampton including that free kick he scored against Wimbledon where he flicked the ball up before hitting it first time on the volley, and the two he scored against Newcastle including an incredible solo effort followed by a volley.
He probably deserves to be higher because of the brilliant player he was but as he didn't win any major trophies unlike most of the other players in the list, I had to put him quite low down.
Jamie Carragher
Carragher spent his entire career at Liverpool making well over 700 appearances and winning almost everything on offer.
The only trophy he failed to win with the reds was the Premier League after being a runner up twice in 2002 and 2009 respectively.
He was a good and loyal servant to Liverpool throughout his time at the club and a good player for them too as he made the right interventions when his team needed him to, and could organise a defence through his leadership.
He did score a lot of own goals throughout his career, but he was still a good defender.
Francesco Totti
Totti spent his entire career at Roma where he spent 25 seasons before retiring at the ripe age of 40 which is absolutely incredible.
He didn't win a lot during those 25 seasons as Roma were not always on the same level as the likes of Juventus and both Milan clubs, but he did win a Serie A title in the 2000/01 season scoring 13 league goals.
He was a good and loyal servant throughout his time at the club where he scored a total of 307 goals and played a staggering 786 times.
He was a striker who could score a variety of goals including headers, volleys and lobbed shots and could also link play.
He played both as a striker and as a no.10 which was where he played for most of his career before being pushed further forward during his latter years.
Tony Adams
Adams spent the whole of his career at Arsenal and was one of the best defenders of his generation as he was a brilliant reader of the game, would time his tackles to perfection and was always in the right place at the right time to make a key intervention.
He was also a brilliant leader and his leadership at the back was one of the reasons why Arsenal were such a solid team defensively during the early years of the Premier League and in their early years under Arsene Wenger.
He won two Premier League titles and four FA Cup's when he was at Arsenal with his solid performances and leadership at the back playing a key role in every single one.
It took the Gunners a long time to replace him as they struggled a lot defensively in the years following his retirement due to a lack of leadership and solidity in defence.
Carles Puyol
Puyol was at Barcelona for the whole of his career and he won everything on offer multiple times including six La Liga titles, two Copa Del Rey's, four Supercopa de Espana's and three Champions League's.
He was instrumental to every success he achieved at Barca through his leadership on the pitch and his solid performances as a defender.
He was a defender who was good in the air, physical, strong, a brilliant reader of the game and someone who would key interventions whenever his team needed him to.
He was also a leader and his leadership played a key role in the success he achieved at Barca alongside his solid performances as a defender.
Gary Neville
Neville was at Man United for the whole of his career and was part of the Class of 92 along with the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
He won everything on offer multiple times at United including eight Premier League titles, three FA Cup's, three League Cup's and two Champions League's.
He was one of the best full backs of his generation and arguably the best right back England have ever had as he was a solid one on one defender, a brilliant reader of the game and would also run up and down that right touchline due to his excellent work rate.
He was also a leader and his leadership along with his solid defensive displays played a key role in every success he achieved at Man United.
Paul Scholes
Scholes spent his entire career at Man United and is one of the finest midfielders to play the game because of the ability he had to pick out any kind of pass due to his excellent vision and his ability to dictate play in midfield.
He could play anywhere in the midfield including as a no.8, a no.10, out wide and even in a deeper role which was where he played towards the end of his career as he reinvented himself as a deep-lying playmaker.
He won everything on offer in the game at United including 11 Premier League titles, 3 FA Cup's and 2 Champions League's and he was an integral part of every single one.
United have never really replaced him since he retired as they've lack that player who can run the show from midfield like he did for so many years.
Ryan Giggs
Giggs was at Man United for his entire career playing a staggering 22 seasons during which he won everything on offer multiple times including 13 Premier League titles which is more than any other player.
He was a winger who had blistering pace, energy and could cut inside when he was in his prime and although his pace declined as he got older, he still had the same desire to make a difference for his team as he scored in almost every single season he played in and played up until he turned 40.
As well as winning 13 Premier League titles, he also won 4 FA Cup's and 2 Champions League's and he played an important role in every single one by scoring some important goals.
He'd definitely be at no.1 if this was a Premier League top 10 because of his longevity and the amount of titles he won.
Paolo Maldini
Maldini spent his entire career at AC Milan going back to before the modern era and he had to be my no.1 because of the brilliant player he was and the outstanding career he had.
He's one of the greatest defenders of all-time with some people even having him down as the greatest defender of all time because of his positioning, reading of the game and ability to both make well-timed tackles and make key interventions.
He was mainly a left back but could also play centre back and still be as influential as he is at left back and his ability to play both roles are what make him one of the greatest defenders to play the game.
He won everything on offer with Milan including 7 Serie A titles, two of which were won before the modern era, 5 Champions League's, two of which were won before when the the competition was know as the European Cup and the Coppa Italia in 2003.
He spent 25 season at Milan with eight of them coming before the 1992/93 season, which was the start of the modern era, and even as he got older, he still looked like a world class defender.
MY TOP 10:
Paolo Maldini
Ryan Giggs
Paul Scholes
Gary Neville
Carles Puyol
Tony Adams
Francesco Totti
Jamie Carragher
Matt Le Tissier
Mark Noble
