There have been many played who have had a deadly right foot in the Premier League over the years with the majority of them being among the greatest players to have ever played in the Premier League.
The majority of players in general are right footed like most people are right handed and I even found out recently that about 90% of people are right footed/handed.
I mentioned earlier that most of the greatest Premier League players are right footed and you'll see that when I reveal the list and making a top 10 out of it was not easy.
When I look back at the list, the one player I felt I should've included was Thierry Henry and I don't know why I didn't think of him. Had I put him on the list, I probably would've had him at no.1.
Now without further ordo, here is the list:
Kevin De Bruyne
Wayne Rooney
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Alan Shearer
Harry Kane
Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Paul Scholes
Sergio Aguero
Cristiano Ronaldo
Trent Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold had a wand of a right foot when he was at Liverpool because of how brilliant a crosser of the ball he was and his ability to pick out passes from anywhere on the pitch.
He was a right back with the abilities of a midfielder which was what made him a rare and unique player in his position and I don't think we're ever going to see another player like him.
His ability to create from both open play and set pieces made him one of Liverpool's most important players during his time at the club and it's been a huge miss ever since he left in the summer.
Salah in particular has missed him a lot as a lot of his goals were provided by Alexander-Arnold and not having him in the team has had a big affect on him.
Cristiano Ronaldo
A lot of people reading this might think I'm crazy for having Ronaldo this low down because of the magnificent player he was.
But I felt I had to because he doesn't have as big a Premier League legacy as the other players in the list did because his better years came after he left the Premier League.
His right foot was a nightmare for both Premier League defenders and goalkeepers as he would use it to beat players with a bit of skill and hit powerful shots at goal.
Some of the shots he could take were hit with so much power that very few keepers were able to keep the ball out with his free kick against Portsmouth being a prime example.
Wayne Rooney
Rooney could do anything with that right foot of his including taking powerful shots at goal and playing long diagonal passes from anywhere on the pitch.
He was of course known for his goal scoring abilities as he was a striker, but he also like to drop deep to receive ball so he could play those long range passes.
He had incredible vision to pick out any kind of pass that could split a defence in two which showed that he was more than just a goal scorer.
He dropped deeper as his career progressed because of his range of passing and ability to pick out teammates from anywhere on the pitch.
Harry Kane
Kane developed into an all-round forward as his career progressed at Spurs by dropping deep to receive the ball and create chances alongside being such an effective goal scorer.
His right foot has been the best in the business for many years because of how powerful his shots at goal are and the ability he has to pick out any kind of pass due to his brilliant vision.
The 2020/21 season saw him turn into that all-round forward as he won both the golden boot and playmaker awards and his ability to both score and create goals is what has made him one of the best strikers in Europe.
Kevin De Bruyne
De Bruyne had the best right foot in the Premier League and arguably in world football when he was at Man City because of the kind passes he could play and the quality of ball he could deliver into the box.
He had the ability to pick out any kind of pass from anywhere on the pitch due to his exceptional vision and he could also strike powerful shots from distance which very few keepers could keep out.
He ran games from midfield many times during his time at City because he was always willing to make things happen and they've really missed that since he left as they're not controlling games as well as they used to.
Frank Lampard
Lampard had an incredibly powerful right foot on his day as he would striker the ball with so much power that very few keepers could keep the ball out of the net.
He would also use his right foot to play defence splitting passes into the forwards and deliver perfect deliveries into the box from both open play and set pieces.
He always put plenty of power behind his long range shots which more often that not ended up in the back of the net and he had the vision to see where his teammates were on the pitch before playing a pass to them.
Sergio Aguero
Aguero was one of the best right footers in the Premier League when he was at Man City as whatever he touched usually resulted in a goal.
He score a variety of goals with his right foot including volleys, low strikes and powerful strikes from distance all of which made it difficult for the keeper to keep out.
He took City onto another level when he arrived by being that 20+ goal a season they needed to mount a serious title challenge and he proved that straight away by scoring 24 times in his debut season, including that dramatic late winner against QPR to win City their first Premier League title.
Paul Scholes
Scholes was one of the best right footers around on his day because he could do pretty much anything with it when he had the ball.
He could pick out passes from anywhere on the pitch due to the incredible vision he had, carry the ball up the pitch from deep positions and also strike powerful shots from distance.
He ran the show from midfield many times for Man United through his ability to get on the ball and do something with it.
He was one of the finest passers of the ball the game has ever seen and arguably the finest passer of the ball England have ever produced.
Steven Gerrard
Gerrard had a powerful and deadly right foot when he was playing as he would use to take powerful shots from distance and play any kind of pass from anywhere on the pitch.
He always knew where his teammates were and especially the attacking players as he had the vision to pick them out and play the right pass to them.
That was what made his partnership with Fernando Torres at Liverpool so special because he always knew where he was on the pitch and when to pass the ball to him.
He always put lots of power behind the ball when taking shots at goal both from open play and from free kicks and they were hit with so much power that the keeper would struggle to keep the ball out.
Alan Shearer
Shearer had to be my no.1 because he's the record Premier League goal scorer and had a deadly and powerful right foot.
He could score a variety of goals with his right foot including low strikes into the bottom corner, volleys and strikes from distance and he always put enough power behind the shot for the ball to end up in the back of the net.
He was a ruthless goal scorer right throughout his career by always being in the right place to score goals and having the ability to score almost any kind of goal.
As well as score goals, he would also use his right foot to link up with teammates as he was part of some effective partnerships throughout his career including the one he had with Chris Sutton at Blackburn, which was probably the more effective as their partnership was key to Rovers' title win in 1995.
MY TOP 10:
Alan Shearer
Steven Gerrard
Paul Scholes
Sergio Aguero
Frank Lampard
Kevin De Bruyne
Harry Kane
Wayne Rooney
Cristiano Ronaldo
Trent Alexander-Arnold
