The new Premier League season kicks off this weekend where there will be some players with a point to prove. Lets see which 10 players I think will have a big season ahead of them.
MARCUS RASHFORD - MAN UNITED
Rashford was a player who lacked confidence last season and new United boss Erik Ten Hag will be eager to help him get it back. With the World Cup coming up in November, Rashford will want to start the season in best possible way so he can give himself the best possible chance of making that final England squad.
PATRICK BAMFORD - LEEDS
Bamford was a massive loss for Leeds last season while he was out injured as the whites were in the thick of a relegation battle. With both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha gone, Bamford may need to step up as Leeds' go to man as they look to avoid being sucked into another relegation battle.
BEN CHILWELL - CHELSEA
Chilwell spent the majority of last season out injured with an ACL problem and Chelsea suffered as a result of it. With a World Cup coming up in November and the player himself having a full pre season to get himself up to full fitness, he'll want to get off to a strong start so he can give himself the best possible chance of making that England squad.
ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC - FULHAM
Mitrovic scored a record breaking 43 goals last season as Fulham won the Championship. But he's yet to really prove himself as a Premier League player. His form last season will give him confidence going into this season and if the Cottagers are to avoid another relegation back to the Championship, they'll need their Serbian hit man scoring goals and in form.
DOMINIC SOLANKE - BOURNEMOUTH
Solanke is yet to prove himself in the Premier League having scored just 4 goals from his days at Liverpool and Bournemouth's last spell there three seasons ago. He scored 29 goals in the Championship last season as the Cherries got promoted and if they're to stay up this season, he'll need to score a similar amount of goals.
ERLING HAALAND - MAN CITY
Haaland is coming over with a big reputation after scoring a bag load of goals for Borussia Dortmund over the last two or three seasons. He's what City needed in a recognised centre forward and they'll need him to hit the ground running if they're to win a third successive title.
DOMINIC CALVERT LEWIN - EVERTON
Everton really missed Calvert Lewin when he was out injured last season as they lacked that focal point up top to get them the goals. With Richarlison gone, he'll need to step up as their main man as he's probably now their most important player. He'll certainly want to get off to a good start because of a World Cup coming up during the Winter.
DENIZ UNDAV - BRIGHTON
Brighton's main problem for the last two seasons has been finishing teams off and they'll be hoping that their new striker will be the answer to their problems. Netting 26 times in the Belgian League for Union SG last season will give them hope that he can deliver for them and they'll need him to as Neal Maupay isn't clinical enough and Danny Welbeck tends to pick up the odd injury.
GABRIEL JESUS - ARSENAL
Arsenal lacked a clinical centre forward last season as they missed out on a top four place. Jesus' goal return has been questioned over the last few seasons but he is a proven goal scorer at the top level which is what Arsenal needed. Under a manager he knows in Mikel Arteta, he'll be expected to deliver because the history the pair have.
HARRY MAGUIRE - MAN UNITED
Maguire had an absolutely shocking season last year and he'll be eager to put it behind him after having a summer to reflect on what went wrong and full pre-season to prepare himself for this campaign. With a World Cup coming up in November, he'll want to go into that tournament full of confidence which is what Gareth Southgate will want from him.
