England Squad Verdict

Thomas Tuchel announced his latest England squad earlier today ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Andorra and friendly against Senegal.
There is just one new name to the squad in Trevoh Chalobah, and there are recalls for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka, Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney.
This is what I think of the squad.
I was very surprised that Chalobah was called up as I wasn't expecting him to and I don't think he was in the kind of form that warrants an England squad.
In terms of the players that have been recalled, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bukayo Saka were the two players who were expected to be recalled as they're both important players for the team, and were only left out of the last squad because of injury.
Ollie Watkins deserves his recall because he's been in good form for Villa recently, and should've been in the last squad as he's the best striker behind Harry Kane.
I wasn't sure whether Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke were going to be recalled as I thought other players were going to be picked ahead of them.
But I was surprised that Ivan Toney was recalled as I wasn't expecting him to be recalled due to him playing in Saudi Arabia. He has been in great form since he made the move out there in the summer, but I still wasn't expecting him to be recalled.
In terms of the rest of the squad, I was very surprised that Jordan Henderson was once again selected as I wasn't expecting him to be included, and I thought other players would be selected ahead of him.
I was also surprised to see James Trafford in the squad as he's been playing in the Championship this season. He has been brilliant for Burnley this season, but I still wasn't expecting him to be included as Championship p[layers are rarely included in an England squad.
I was also surprised to see Myles Lewis-Skelly included because I thought he would be picked for the U21's ahead of the U21 Euros this summer. He has had a brilliant breakthrough season with Arsenal, but I still thought he would go to the U21 Euros so he could get some tournament experience ahead of the World Cup next year.
