Chelsea showing that they're not over reliant on Cole Palmer

Chelsea have been heavily reliant on Cole Palmer in each of the last two seasons which the stats can very much back up.

Palmer missed their win over West Ham on Friday after picking up an injury in the warm up and in the game, Chelsea showed that they're not over reliant on him as both Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto got on the score sheet with Pedro also assisting Neto before assisting the winner score by Trevoh Chalobah.

Neto and Pedro both stepping up will definitely be an encouraging sign for Chelsea as it shows that they have players who can score goals to ease the burden on Palmer.

Palmer does of course make Chelsea a better team when he's on the pitch because of what he brings in terms of goals and assists. But they need players to step up on the goals front when Palmer isn't around or having his best game and they showed against West Ham that they have have with Neto and Pedro both scoring.

They also have Liam Delap in their attacking ranks and although he's yet to score, he is another player capable of stepping up on the goals front as he showed last season with Ipswich.

Time for Man City to put Ederson back in goal

Man City have started the season with their no.2 keeper James Trafford between the sticks and it looked like he could've been the no.1 with Ederson being linked with a move away from the club.

He had a decent debut against Wolves last weekend where he kept a clean sheet and made some crucial saves.

But against Spurs he was at fault for the second goal as he gave the ball away before Joao Palhinha scored and gave Spurs the win.

This might be his first mistake and we are only two games in, but I think it's time for City to put Ederson back in goal.

One reason why I think they should put Ederson back in goal is because he's the best keeper in the league with the ball at his feet and Trafford should learn off Ederson in how to be effective in possession.

Trafford is still a young keeper at 22 years of age and still has the rest of his career ahead of him. But he's not a top level keeper and he showed why with that mistake in a big game.

He will one day be City's no.1 keeper and maybe even England's no.1 keeper, but for him to get o that position he should sit on the bench for the remainder of the season and learn off Ederson so he can be ready to make the step up.

Will this be the season where a newly promoted team will stay up?

For the first time since the 2016/17 season, all three newly promoted teams have won a game within the first two weeks of the season.

It took until November for all of last season’s newly promoted to earn their first win and with all of this season’s new batch already off the mark, could this be the season where any of them stay up?

I'm not saying that they'll all stay up based on the fact they've already won a game within the first two weeks of the season. But it does give them a good chance of staying up as they'll be feeling confident and the sooner you win games early on, the better the chance you have of staying up.

Out of the three that have come up this season, Sunderland might be the best equipped as they've brought in proven top flight players, and can mix it just like they did in their opening game against West Ham by being tough to beat defensively and dangerous going forward.

Burnley as a lot of people probably know will be tough to beat after having an incredible defensive record in the Championship last season. They were showed that against Sunderland by being compact for much of the first half whilst Sunderland had most and the better of the chances. But they did have more about them in the second half as they created more than they did in the first half.

Leeds however are probably the side I fear for the most as they do look vulnerable at the back. They will play on the front foot and with a lot of energy just like they did in their opening game against Everton. But their style of play does leave holes at the back just like it did against Arsenal.

There is still a long way to go and a lot can change. But if one or two or even all of the newly promoted teams can win at least five or six games before Christmas, they could have a decent chance of staying up.

Can Jack Grealish rescue his career at Everton?

Jack Grealish joined Everton in the summer so he could reignite his career after falling down the pecking order at Man City mostly due to a loss of form.

He could got his Everton career off to a good start at the weekend against Brighton as he set up both their goals looked more like the player he was at Villa.

Can he rescue his career at Everton?

He was given the freedom to express himself against Brighton, something he probably didn't have at City as Pep wanted him to play a certain way.

Everton were always looking to give him the ball because they knew he was going to do something with it and he did by providing the assists to both goals.

He was that kind of player when he was Villa and his move to Everton will give him the opportunity to get back to being the player he was back then.

His promising start will definitely give him a lot of confidence and especially as he's going to be a player who his teammates will be looking for on the pitch.

If he can keep up his good start, he'll hopefully get his career back on track and maybe force his way back into the England squad with the World Cup coming up next summer.
