Potter on thin ice at West Ham
West Ham's poor start to the season continued on Saturday following their defeat to Crystal Palace which left them in the bottom three and increased the pressure on Graham Potter.
I'd now say that Potter is on thin ice because of where they are in the league and how poor his record is since he took over in January.
West Ham had a poor end to last season which he was let off for as it wasn't his team after arriving mid season.
But this season there shouldn't be any excuses as he had a pre-season to bring in his own players and build the team in his image.
But none of their new signings have improved the team and they haven't really looked like a Graham Potter team.
They're being overrun in midfield every week due to the lack of legs and they again look weak when defending from set pieces like they did for the whole of last season.
They did look slightly better against Palace on Saturday, but the bottom line was another defeat which leaves them in 19th place.
The club are already thinking about replacing him and it won't surprise me if they were to part ways with him.
Do Wolves regret offering Pereira that new contract?
Wolves are the only side yet to register a point this season and despite their pointless start to the season, they offered manager Vitor Pereira a new contract which he later signed before their 3-1 defeat to Leeds.
With Wolves still rock bottom without a point to their name, do they regret offering Pereira that new contract?
A lot of people including myself were surprised when Wolves offered Pereira a new contract because of their poor start to the season and especially after losing all four of their opening games.
The club offering him that new contract does show that they're behind him and are confident in him turning their fortunes around.
But I still think it was a strange decision as most managers would immediately be under pressure after losing their first four now five games of a season.
They have a mixed run of games coming up starting with with a tough one next weekend against Spurs, followed by slightly more winnable ones against Brighton, Sunderland and Burnley.
They should target those three games as the ones to get points from and if they don't get anything from those games as well as the one against Spurs, the board may begin to regret their decision of offering Pereira that new contract.
Is Unai Emery under pressure?
Aston Villa's slow start to the season continued over the weekend following their draw at Sunderland on Sunday which kept them in the bottom three.
The did finally get their first goal of the season through Matty Cash's strike, but it was another game without win and another lacklustre performance.
Could Unai Emery be under pressure?
It does sound premature for me to ask this question because it's still very early in the season and Emery is a top class manager who has done an incredible job since he's been at Villa.
But his team at the moment are not getting results and they're not getting results because they've been blunt in attack and have struggled to score goals.
The players will take responsibility for this as they're the ones who out there to perform and at the moment they're not performing.
But the manager should also carry the can as he's the one who sends the players out there to perform and works with them in training.
Villa did lose some important attacking players over the summer who they struggled to replace due to PSR restrictions which impacted their summer transfer business as a whole.
But there is still enough attacking quality in their squad to win games of football and score goals.
If their poor start to the season continues and if their performances don't improve anytime soon, Emery could find himself under pressure.
