Is Andoni Iraola under pressure?

Bournemouth's winless run run extended to nine games following their 4-1 to defeat to Brentford on Saturday which left them 15th in the table and only eight points above the relegation zone.

Could Andoni Iraola be under pressure?

I said before their defeat to Brentford that their poor run of form could be a reality check after starting the season so well following the departures of some of their most important players.

I still think that because no one expected them to start as well as they did as they're roughly where a lot of people may have expected them to be at the start of the season.

But the longer their winless run goes on, the sooner questions will be asked of the manager which may sound crazy as he's done such a brilliant job since he's been at the club.

But when teams go on long winless runs, the manager is more often that not under pressure because they're judged on results and Iraola's side haven't been able to get results over the last month or so.

I do think he can turn it around because he's a good manager and he has a good squad of players who are more than capable of getting results on the football pitch.

But if Iraola doesn't get any wins anytime soon, the pressure will on him to get results and his team could maybe get sucked into a relegation battle.

Wirtz finally settling in at Liverpool

Florian Wirtz has almost everyone knows has endured a tough start to life at Liverpool as he's struggled to adjust to the intensity of the Premier League and the way Liverpool play.

But now he appears to finally be settling in at Liverpool as he's more involved in games and is beginning to develop some partnerships on the pitch.

He had arguably his best game in a Liverpool shirt against Wolves on Saturday as he finally got his first goal for the club and linked up well with one or two of his teammates including Hugo Ekitike.

He was by far the best player on the pitch against Wolves as he got back to help his team out defensively as well as getting his goal and whenever he got on the ball, he was always looking to do something with it.

He was struggling to influence games during his early games at the club as we was adjusting to the pace and intensity of the Premier League and how Liverpool want to play.

But after registering an assist the previous weekend against Spurs and getting his first goal against Wolves, he's looking more settled and adjusted at Liverpool and this upturn in form will hopefully be the start of him showing why Liverpool spent all that money on him.

West Ham need reinforcements in January

West Ham haven't really go going since Nuno Espirito Santo took over and their results can back that up as they've won just twice since he took over and are still in the relegation zone.

Their defeat to Fulham on Saturday will feel like a big opportunity wasted as that was a game they will have targeted to get a win from in the lead up to it.

As well as a missed opportunity, it will also have highlighted their need for reinforcements in the January transfer window.

One area they'll be looking to strengthen in is their attack and in particular the centre forward department as they had some decent chances but didn't have anyone to put them away.

Callum Wilson is a proven Premier League goal scorer and he did one or two decent chances in the game against Fulham, but he's scored just 4 times since joining from Newcastle in the summer and does have a track record of getting injured.

Niclas Fullkrug meanwhile hasn't got going since he joined the club at the beginning of last season due to injuries and there is even talk of him leaving on loan in January.

Both strikers haven't quite made the impact they will have hoped to make and with the Hammers in need of points and a clinical goal scorer, a centre forward will surely be right at the top of Nuno's shopping list in January.

There will of course be other areas the Hammers will look to address including the midfield which lacks legs and creativity. But getting a centre forward in has to be their main priority when the January transfer window opens.
