The latest Premier League season has come to an end and it was another interesting and surprising season to watch. We saw lots of drama, plenty of of goals, moments of both brilliance and controversy, and clubs overperforming.

Now it's time for me to rate every club's season based on the season's they've had.

ARSENAL - 9

An absolutely outstanding season as they went one better to finally get their hands on their first league title in 22 years. They might've received some criticism for their playing style, but they still deserved to win the title as they spent most of the season at the top of the league and were the most consistent team in the league.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DECLAN RICE

Rice was the driving force behind Arsenal's title win with his leadership on the pitch alongside his energy and tenacity. He's been a game changer for Arsenal ever since he arrived at the club because of what he's brought to the team and if he can add more goals to his game, he'll become a more complete midfielder.

ASTON VILLA - 8

A fantastic season from Villa as they secured Champions League football and ended it with their first major trophy in 30 years by winning the Europa League. Their form did dip after Christmas after being briefly talked about as title contenders, but they did enough to seal a return to the Champions League.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MORGAN ROGERS

Rogers was Villa's most consistent performer this season as he became their main man and had his best goal scoring season by finding the net 10 times. His form this season even put himself ahead in the race to start as England's no.10 at the World Cup and he has a very good chance of doing that.

BOURNEMOUTH - 8

An absolutely incredible season for the Cherries as they recorded their highest ever league finish and qualified for Europe for the first time in their history. They also went on the longest unbeaten run in their history which played a huge part in them qualifying for Europe.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ALEX SCOTT

Scott has been the Cherries most consistent performer this season by putting in a number of good performances in the midfield. He won his duels, kept things neat and tidy in midfield and also chipping in the odd important goal. His good form was rewarded with an England call up earlier in the season and was unlucky not to have made the final World Cup squad.

BRENTFORD - 9

An incredible season for the Bees considering what happened in the summer. Keith Andrews had big shoes to fill in replacing a club icon in Thomas Frank and he went on a proved his doubters wrong by guiding them into the top 10 and putting them in contention for Europe.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: IGOR THIAGO

No doubt about it. Thiago felt like a new signing after spending the entirety of last season out injured and he immediately stepped up as the Bees' new talisman by scoring 22 goals. His form this season earned him a call up into the Brazil squad and he has a good chance of starting as their no.9 at the World Cup.

BRIGHTON - 7

Another good season for the seagulls as they qualified for Europe. Results were mixed for much of the season and they did go through a barren patch during the winter, but they still managed to qualify for Europe which marks another good season for them.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DANNY WELBECK

Welbeck proved that age was just a number at the age of 35 by scoring 13 goals with all of them playing a key role in Brighton qualifying for Europe. He was very unlucky not to been recalled into the England squad with the form he was in because he was arguably the best English striker this season.

BURNLEY - 3

A very poor season for the Clarets as they went straight back down. They were in a lot of their games throughout the season, but they just didn't have the quality to compete at this level as they struggled badly at both ends.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ZIAN FLEMMING

The Clarets did struggle for goals for much of the season, but Flemming still managed to score 11 times which isn't a bad return for your first season in the Premier League. Without his goals the Clarets might've gone down earlier.

CHELSEA - 4

An absolute disaster of a season both on and off the pitch. They were in and around the top four before Christmas only for Enzo Maresca to speak out against the club's owners and get replaced by Liam Rosenior, under whom things did not improve. A poor second half of the season saw them fall out of contention and drop right down the table.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JOAO PEDRO

Pedro had a reasonably productive first season at Stamford Bridge as he found the net 15 times which marks a good first season for him. Without his goals Chelsea might've finished much lower down the table.

CRYSTAL PALACE - 5

They might have a European final to look forward, but in the league it's been a tough and challenging season. They started the season brilliantly but a poor run around and after Christmas saw them drop down the league due to injuries and a lack of squad depth.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ADAM WHARTON

Wharton has been Palace's most consistent player this season as he's been effective at both sides of the game in breaking up play and controlling the game from midfield. He was very unlucky not to be in England's World Cup squad after another outstanding season for the Eagles.

EVERTON - 7

A good solid season for the Toffees. After spending the last few seasons battling to avoid relegation, the Toffees finally kicked on this season by comfortably finishing in midtable and even pushing for Europe to mark a good first season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JAMES GARNER

Jordan Pickford may have had another solid season for the Toffees, but Garner for me was their standout performer as he worked his socks off in midfield and made some vital contributions at both ends. His good form was rewarded with an England call up back in March was unlucky not to have been in the final squad for the World Cup.

FULHAM - 6

Another solid season but at the same time a missed opportunity. They were in contention for Europe for much of the second half of the season after a slow start before a poor end to the season saw them fall out of contention and finish just outside the top 10. But overall it was another solid season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: HARRY WILSON

Wilson finally proved himself as a Premier League player this season by registering 10 goals and 7 assists to mark his best season on record. The Cottagers might not have finished where they did without his contributions and they'll now want him to sign that new contract with his current deal up very soon.

LEEDS - 7

A very good first season back in the top flight. They were widely tipped to go down at the start of the season, but Daniel Farke proved his doubters wrong by making them tough to beat and competitive as they went on and comfortably stayed up.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN

Calvert-Lewin was the difference for Leeds this season as his 14 league goals played a key role in them staying up. He finally kept himself fit after a few injury ravaged seasons and his return to form was even rewarded with a recall to the England squad.

LIVERPOOL - 5

They did secure Champions League football for another season, but it will still go down as a disappointing season and especially as they were defending champions and spent a lot of money in the summer. They lacked an identity in how they played as they were unconvincing for most of the season and also didn't look like a team.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI

Szoboszlai was by far the reds' most consistent performer this season as he worked his socks of wherever he was asked to play, whether that was in midfield or at right back, and he also scored some crucial goals. He's arguably the only reds player who can come out of this season with his head held high.

MAN CITY - 7

It was a successful season in that they won both cup competitions, but in the league it will go down as a disappointment as they missed out on the title. They were not consistent enough compared to recent seasons as they dropped points against teams they were expected to beat which is what cost them.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ERLING HAALAND

Haaland carried City for the majority of the season with his 27 goals which earned him a third golden boot in four seasons. Without him City might've finished much further behind Arsenal.

MAN UNITED - 7

It was a season of two halves for United as they had a below par first half to the season under Ruben Amorim followed by a brilliant second half to the season under Michael Carrick. Carrick turned their season around the moment he arrived by taking them on a brilliant run of form and guiding them back into the Champions League, which got him the job on a full time basis.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: BRUNO FERNANDES

It was always going to be Fernandes because he broke the record for most assists in a season with 21 and carried United for most of the season. He was one of their few shining lights under Ruben Amorim despite being played out of position and when Carrick took over, he was back to his best in his favoured no.10 position.

NEWCASTLE - 4

A very disappointing season considering the heights they've reached in recent seasons. They were nowehre near the European places as they spent the majority of the season in midtable due to inconsistent form. They were by no means helped by poor recruitment in the summer as hardly any of their signings delivered.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: BRUNO GUIMARAES

Guimaraes was the Magpies' most consistent performer this season as he showed once again how big a difference he makes when he's on the pitch. The Magpies will have a tough job on their hands on trying to keep him this summer and especially as they won't be in Europe next season.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST - 5

It's been a rollercoaster of a season for Forest as they went through four different managers under whom they had indifferent results. But they still managed to stay up despite everything that happened behind the scenes and having to deal with Europe as well. The fans will no doubt be hoping for a more stable season next season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: ELLIOT ANDERSON

Gibbs-White may have had another brilliant season, but Anderson for me was Forest's most consistent performer as he put in a real shift for his team right whenever he was on the pitch. His form this season earned him an England call up and made him a guaranteed stater for the World Cup.

SUNDERLAND - 9

An incredible first season back in the top flight as they qualified for Europe and kept themselves in and around the top 10. Their recruitment was excellent as they brought in the right players and they were also adaptable in the way they played depending on the opposition.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: GRANIT XHAKA

Xhaka was the difference for Sunderland this season as his experience and leadership on the pitch played a key role in them having the season they had. He's arguably been the signing of the season because of the impact he's had on Sunderland.

TOTTENHAM - 3

An absolutely shocking season both on and off the pitch. On the pitch their performances were poor all season round and especially at home whilst off the pitch, poor decisions were made behind the scenes and especially when it came to appoint managers. Thomas Frank was never the right man for them and their appointment of Igor Tudor turned out to be even worse. They did stay up, but a big improvement is needed if they're to do better next season.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: MICKY VAN DE VEN

In what was a terrible season for Spurs, Van De Ven was by far their standout performer as he made vital interventions and even popped up with some crucial goals. He's someone Spurs should definitely look to keep hold of this summer.

WEST HAM - 3

A really poor season from the Hammers as they ended up relegated. They spent pretty much the entire season in and around the bottom three and although thins did begin to improve after Christmas, they didn't have enough quality to survive. A much needed refresh is needed this summer after a few years of being a poorly run club.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JARROD BOWEN

Bowen carried the Hammers for pretty much the entire season and without him they would've gone down earlier. He's surely not going to want to stick around in the Championship next season after being their only shining light in what was a tough season.

WOLVES - 2

A terrible season from start to finish. They had just two points before Christmas and spent pretty much the entire season at the foot of the table. Their relegation was coming in all fairness to them after spending the previous few seasons battling it out at the bottom.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: JOAO GOMES

In what was a terrible season for Wolves, Joao Gomes was the only player who stood out for them as he put in a good shift for his team by winning tackles and working his socks off in the midfield. It wouldn't surprise me if another Premier League club snaps him up this summer.
