GK: NICK POPE (NEWCASTLE) - Pope was solid throughout September by making crucial saves when his team needed him to and being a solid presence between the sticks. He might have only played two games but in both of them he was solid.


RB: NATHAN PATERSON (EVERTON) - The young Scotsman was excellent in both games he played in during September by being solid defensively and a threat going forward. He stepped up in the absence of Seamus Coleman and his performances defensively played a key role in Everton going the whole month without conceding a goal.


CB: CONOR COADY (EVERTON) - Coady has made a massive difference to Everton defensively this season thanks to his leadership and reading of the game. His partnership with Tarkowski played a huge role in Everton keeping a clean sheet on both their games and showed why Wolves shouldn't have let him go.


CB: TYRONE MINGS (ASTON VILLA) - Mings out his difficult start to the season behind him during September by putting in solid performances for his team. His performance against Southampton reminded everyone how good he is and he marshalled Erling Haaland pretty well against Man City.


LB: TYRELL MALACIA (MAN UNITED) - Malacia has been excellent for United since he's come into the team by putting in some solid performances and he certainly did that during September. He looked very solid defensively by making some crucial interventions and is looking like a very good signing for United.


CM: PIERRE EMILE HOJBJERG (TOTTENHAM) - Hojbjerg was an all round midfielder during September as he registered a goal and an assist each alongside stopping opposition attacks. His goal contributions were crucial to Spurs keeping up their strong start as were his performances in the middle of the park.


CM: KEVIN DE BRUYNE (MAN CITY) - De Bruyne kept up his fine start to the season during September by registering 3 assists as City kept up their reasonably strong start. He's forming an excellent relationship with Erling Haaland and again showed how important he is to City.


CM: PHILIP BILLING (BOURNEMOUTH) - Billing netted 2 crucial goals during September as Bournemouth showed signs if improvement after their 9-0 defeat by Liverpool the previous month. Both of his goals were very well struck and was a engine in that Cherries midfield by helping them both offensively and defensively.


RW: BUKAYO SAKA (ARSENAL) - Saka showed why he's Arsenal main man during September by registering 1 goals and 2 assists from both games. Arsenal may have lost the game he scored in against Man United but that solitary goal was crucial as were the 2 assists he picked up against Brentford.


LW: MARCUS RASHFORD (MAN UNITED) - Rashford looked like a player who got his confidence back during September as he scored 2 goals and registered 2 assists. His performances kept Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench and if he can keep up this kind of form between now and November, he has a strong chance of being in that England World Cup squad.


ST: HARRY KANE (TOTTENHAM) - Kane kept up his strong start to the season during September by scoring 2 goals and registering 1 assist as Spurs carried on their strong start to the season. He stepped up when Spurs needed someone to and is again proving how important he is to them.
