England played their final match before Gareth Southgate announces his 23 man squad for the Euros last night where they drew 2-2 with Belgium.
Let's see which players I think are pushing for a place in the final squad.
Ezri Konsa
Konsa looked reasonably solid in both games against Brazil and Belgium where he played both as a right back and a centre back. He's impressed in both positions for Aston Villa this season and his performances over the international break will no doubt strengthen his case to be in the squad.
Kobbie Mainoo
Mainoo looked very assured on his full England debut against Belgium last night like he has done when playing for Man United, and he's only 18. As well as his defensive work he showed that he can offer something going forward by assisting attacks and nearly scoring one himself. England have taken young players of his age to tournaments in the past and after an impressive showing on his debut, he could be in with a chance of not just being in the squad, but in the starting 11.
Anthony Gordon
Gordon was arguably the best players on the pitch on his debut against Brazil as he looked lively and was always looking to do something with the ball. With Marcus Rashford out of form and Gordon himself having a brilliant season with Newcastle, he's got a strong chance of being on that plane. Especially after an impressive debut.
Jarrod Bowen
Bowen was one of England best players against Belgium last night as he caused them problems all game with his pace, movement off the ball and runs in behind. England do have a number of options in wide areas including Saka, Palmer, Rashford, Gordon and Grealish. But after watching his performance last night and with the season he is having for West Ham, he's got a strong chance of being on that plane. Especially with Rashford struggling for form and Grealish struggling with injuries.
Ivan Toney
Ollie Watkins may be in pole position to be Harry Kane's deputy this summer, but Toney has put himself right in that conversation after an impressive performance against Belgium. Alongside netting on his full debut from the penalty spot, he linked up well with his teammates and caused the Belgium defence problems with his movement off the ball. He was the convincing striker over the two games and it could be a sign that Southgate might choose him over Watkins.
